RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Social Worker works in the field of social work. He/She is qualified and trained to assist in managing interventions and programmes, performing community development work and uplifting the professional practice in social work. He/She guides multi-disciplinary teams to implement and evaluate casework and group work and also organises strategic community development initiatives, programmes and research. He/She serves as a mentor to social workers and supports their professional development. He/She collaborates with other agencies and ministries in the course of his work.

Conduct group work

• Formulate group work intervention plans
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of group work interventions across the organisation
• Supervise facilitation of group work interventions

Conduct casework

• Review case notes and documents
• Implement case and care plans and interventions
• Formulate casework intervention plans
• Conduct needs and intake assessments for complex cases by taking into account the integration of a range of information
• Review social reports
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of casework interventions
• Conduct closure of cases upon achieving sustainable service outcomes for clients, families and communities

Perform community development work

• Implement new community development initiatives
• Evaluate progress and effectiveness of community development initiatives across the organisation
• Develop community development initiatives
• Mobilise community resources
• Lead environmental scans and community need assessments

Perform stakeholder engagement and partnerships

• Build professional relationships with clients, significant others and other professionals
• Participate in social work practice across disciplines

Uplift professional practice in social work

• Assist staff in implementing and improving their self-care plan
• Organise crisis management team with partner organisations and agencies
• Support professional development of staff within the organisation
• Design research on practice and specified issues under guidance
• Review models of care and service delivery aligned to evidence-based practice
• Supervise staff in their work
• Implement standards of care, organisational health policies, procedures and programmes
• Perform audits with adherence to organisation's audit framework

Deliver programmes

• Conduct evaluation of programmes
• Manage implementation of programmes
• Lead development of specific programmes targeted at service gaps and service delivery issues

• Possess Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution

Relevant Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Accredited as Registered Social Worker with Singapore Association of Social Workers would be an advantage

Group Work

• Target and reach out to individuals and/ or targeted groups who may benefit from group work conducted by organisations/ agencies

• Facilitate high risk therapeutic group work under supervision

Community Work

• Conduct environmental scans and assess community needs
• Design, develop and implement community-specific development programmes (e.g. aging community in a specific neighbourhood)
• Participate in community development initiatives and provide recommendations for consideration

Professional Development & Education

• Engage in learning opportunities (e.g. participate in community of practice meetings to develop skills and capabilities)
• Attend professional development courses to acquire professional knowledge and skills
• Supervise interns and/ or students on placement
• Guide fresh/ junior social workers

Research

• Participate and support research
• Engage in multi-disciplinary team research projects Programme Development & Implementation
• Participate/ implement programmes (e.g. strengthening activities appropriate to clients' profile)
• Review and refine programmes to target client groups or other stakeholders/ partners/ agencies
• Identify service gaps in response to client needs and make recommendations to improve service provision of programmes

• Degree in Social Work/ Post Graduate in Social Work

• At least six years' experience working in the social service sector, preferably with clients with disability, neurocognitive and/or mental health issues (For Assistant Senior Social Worker)
• At least two years' supervisory experience in the social service sector (For Senior Social Worker)
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; and a high level of integrity

Job Description

• Assist in the timely closing of accounts and preparation of consolidation schedules
• Prepare financial schedules, statutory accounts and ensuring quality of accounts meets the agreed service levels
• Prepare month-end journals in accordance with established processes, work procedures and local legal and statutory requirements
• Prepare quarterly GST reports, collation of interested/related parties’ transactions, sponsorship and donation reports
• Perform reconciliation of monthly audit schedules, inter-company and bank transactions
• Handle settlement to fixed assets and maintain fixed asset registers for assigned Companies and Cost Centre groups
• Prepare financial statements in XBRL format
• Support external and internal audit, tax reporting and other statutory requirements
• Provide day-to-day operations funding requirements (shortfall/surplus)
• Liaise and work closely with Finance Shared Services Centre, other finance functions and line of businesses
• Ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• 5 years of relevant working experience
• Strong accounting knowledge and application of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International)
• Displays positive attitude, team player, meticulous and the ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines
• Able to work independently and possess good communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Knowledge of SAP S4, BPC and ticketing tools would be advantageous
