Requirements for Software Engineer (Devices):

(a) Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of one or more devices that are part of an integrated e-payment Fare Collection System. The successful candidate will also be involved in the software development lifecycle from the definition of requirements to design and development, and testing.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering;

• Design, development, and maintenance of the software;

• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycles such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Documents, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Training Manual, and other documents as required in the standard adopted by the Authority;

• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues; and

• Liaise with users on the requirements, design, and testing issues.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

 Tertiary qualification in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Science or a relevant discipline

 At least 3 years in software development and system integration

 Experiences in C++ application development in Windows/Embedded platforms

 Knowledge or work experience in the following areas is an added advantage:

➢ Java application development

➢ Web application using HTML/HTML5, JavaScript, and JavaScript Framework (i.e. AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, Bootstrap)

➢ Interfacing with database (i.e. MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL) using ODBC/JDBC and SQL

Responsibilities

• Actively partner with the sales team to understand our customers’ business needs/challenges
• Identify the best customized solution that meets customers’ requirements in terms of automation/digitalization strategy on an enterprise level

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in a professional senior technical role (e.g. technical lead, team lead or architect), ideally for a system integrator
• Have wide-ranging technology knowledge in areas of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, etc), business analysis, software architecture design, DevOps, cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and GCP, and other emerging technologies
• Ability to develop solution architecture designs with experience in assessing a broad range of IT solutions, particularly in infrastructure design, network, IT security, data, etc
• Experience in hyperautomation technologies (e.g. Robotic Process Automation, Process Mining, Intelligent Document Processing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, Low Code Application Platforms, Business Intelligence, etc)
• Hands on experience in full stack development and programming languages (e.g. .NET, VB, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, etc) is preferred
• Experience and certifications (e.g. PL-100, PL-200, PL-400 and MB-600) in the Microsoft stack is highly desirable

Job Responsibilities

· Asset Management – Manage laptops inventory, issuance, write-off of assets, etc.

· Financial Data Management - Ensuring accurate/up-to-date data entries in excel trackers.

Qualifications and Skills Required

· Above average excel skills (Advance formulas, pivot tables, building of reporting dashboard). Strong in data analysis using excel.

· Good knowledge in Power Point and have prior experience in preparing PPT slides for reporting purpose. Knowledge in Power BI will be a plus.

· Good experience in managing/responsible/implementing business process improvement.

· Have working experience in SAP system (PEMS).

· Excellent internal communications, written and verbal communication skills.
