• Serves as a subject matter expert in E&I equipment failures and ensures the reliability of those equipments.
• Provides technical expertise to plant personnel (Supervisors and technicians) on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and ensuring E&I equipment meets the design intent.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot critical and major plant issues related to E&I, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify solutions, and drive continuous plant improvement initiatives while managing costs effectively.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller / SIS), with a strong emphasis on experience with Allan Bradley PLCs.
• Provide expertise in maintaining electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, MV/LV switchboards, Fire alarm and CCTV systems.
• Mentor technicians in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards.
• Supports Team Lead in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
• Ensure adherence to plant Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards. Actively participate in HSE walkdowns and initiatives to maintain high safety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Instrumentation / Maintenance Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance in a chemical or petrochemical or pharmaceutical plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, electrical systems, control systems, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a methodical approach to problem resolution.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to various stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITY
· Plan and allocate tools, material and manpower for fabrication;
· Ensure that all the technical reviews by engineering team comply with project requirements;
· Coordinate all technical queries with related parties – engineering team, client, vendor etc;
· Assist Project Manager in streamlining work processes;
· Coordinator with team to review all subcontract and supplier shop drawing, product data, samples,
manuals etc for all compliance with contract documents;
· Manage vendor documents for all equipment;
· Monitor and ensure all the vendor equipment delivery are on time, including checks on inspection status and requirement;
· Prepare tender submission, cost estimation and project change request;

*Prepare monthly P&L reporting.

*Able to use AutoCAD – Advance Steel Software.

REQUIREMENTS

· Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent

Responsibilities :

1. Inspect outgoing parts and incoming sub-contracted parts according to established procedure / specification of inspection and carry out Incoming Process Inspection.

2. Maintain quality record and file quality data.

3. Highlight quality problems discovered to the QA Manager and Factory Manager / Production Manager / Asst. Production Manager for action.

4. Ensure that all non-conforming products are not mixed with good products prior to disposition.

5. Authorise the rejection of parts if found unsatisfactory.

6. Authorise the release of conforming parts to be sent to the store for subsequent delivery to customers.

7. Perform factory routine test and check of switchboards completed in the workshop.

8. Testing and commissioning of switchboards on board vessels or on-site to the satisfaction of customers; and attend to warranty claims / quality complaints.

9. Conduct official tests on the switchboards which require witnessing by surveyors or consultants and also maybe with the presence of customers.

10. Assist the Manager in quality responsibilities and achieving quality objectives.

11. Maintain good housekeeping in the QA Department.

12. Observe and adhere to safety rules during the performance of every task.

13. Ensure the use of calibrated instrument for inspection.

14. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of Product Non-Conformity.

15. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problem detected.

16. Verify the implementation of solutions.

17. Control further processing and delivery of Non-Conforming products until the deficiency has been corrected.

18. Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors.

19. Follow the procedures of Quality Management System for effective implementation and control.

1. 2 years QA Experience in Marine or Industrial

2. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITE with relevant experiences

3. Able to speak Chinese

4. Required to work onboard the vessel and travel occasionally.
