This is an individual contributor responsible for identifying and resolving issues of advanced complexity. This position is at a senior professional level and requires strong & advanced execution and analytical abilities. This role works independently and receives minimal guidance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex 2nd level network related problems, coordinate resources where necessary and serve as escalation point to 1st level operational teams.

• Respond to and resolve IP network issues within the timeframe of severity level agreements.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. As the Manager of Software Implementation & Vessel Performance, your pivotal role within the technical department revolves around ensuring the successful implementation of new Ship Management Software across all ships and shore offices. Your primary responsibility lies in providing comprehensive training to all company employees, including both shore and ship staff, enabling them to proficiently utilize the various modules and functions of the Ship Management Software.

Furthermore, you will actively work to decrease overall energy consumption on board vessels through a range of measures. These measures encompass monitoring the hull condition, conducting regular follow-ups with vessels to optimize fuel consumption of various machineries on board. What will you do?

• You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and identify opportunities to leverage data and data quality.
• You will design, develop and operate modern data architecture approaches to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions.
• You will be responsible to create, design and develop intricate data processing pipelines.
• You write clean and iterative code for continuous delivery practices to deploy, support and operate data pipelines.
• You will develop data models by selecting from a variety of modeling techniques and implementing the chosen data model using the appropriate technology stacks.

What are we looking for?

• From 3 to 5 years of experience working as a data engineer or related role.
• Hands-on experience in AWS Glue, AWS RedShift, Tableau, QlikSense
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Scala.
• Track record in implementing systems using Hive, Scala will be preferred.
• Strong in data modelling, data processing frameworks’ tools such as Hadoop, Spark, SQL is an advantage.
• Good understanding of analytics and data warehouse implementations
• Experience with Cloud Technologies is a plus.
• Good understanding and completion of projects using Agile methodology.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, ability to understand the business requirement, communicate confidently with stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
