Customer Service (60%)

• Represent OMEGA in dealing with customers’ concerns.
• To provide quality support to customers’ technical enquiries.

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to develop and roll out the next generation of our advanced tools to support autonomous driving. As part of the Map Creator team, you will play a critical role in building a sophisticated web-based application that produces semantic map annotations for our AVs. We focus on streamlining end-user workflows, creating performant visualization and editing of huge scale map data, and automating map production. We support the evolving map data needs of our researchers and engineers.

This is a hybrid position in our Singapore office.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable frontend solutions for our web-based map visualizations and editors.
• Write clean, idiomatic, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
• Optimize applications for peak performance and scalability to handle huge scale data.
• Collaborate with machine learning teams to integrate automation into the annotation process, for maximum efficiency.

What we’re looking for:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years professional experience as front end software engineer
• Good understanding of modern JavaScript code and React framework
• Experience in profiling and optimizing web performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement requested features as a hands-on contributor
• Act as a performance expert to sit in design discussions
• Continuously identify performance hotspots and carry out optimizations
• Participate in support rota and assist with issue investigations
• Provide support in any ad hoc matter

Requirements:

• Min. a Degree in STEM related education background (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics)
• At least 3 years and above of application development experience
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and presentation skills
• Familiarity with Aeron, Disruptor, JVM, network stack, low-level programming, and hardware architecture is a great plus
• Knowledge of financial market / crypto trading is a plus
