The L1 IT Support Engineer (IT ServiceDesk) is accountable for providing a high level of satisfaction among students and staff by providing first-level support for all GESS standard software and hardware. • Drive DevOps adoption, implementing CI/CD pipelines and optimizing system performance.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record of technical leadership, with at least 5 years of experience in software development and 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expert-level knowledge of modern web and application technologies, software architecture patterns, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in building greenfield systems, implementing secure coding practices, and managing distributed teams.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies, containerization, and orchestration.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand / develop technical design specification / requirements and associated document relevant to project
• Develop system database, control logic and graphic according to project design
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and System Commissioning on site
• Product test document and training material
• Conduct training to customer
• Provide technical support to sales and maintenance team
• Others ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience
