The purpose of this role is to develop an infrastructure roadmap that enables International SOS to keep pace with the rapid technology developments in products and services and has the right balance with cyber security and compliance.

This role is part of the PMO delivery team and is also strongly aligned with the Infrastructure teams as he/she will be leading the technical solution discussions across technology teams to determine the requirements, deliver the solution design or review the design provided by vendors/partners with respective service and application owners, recommend the implementation approach and validate the plan against the design to ensure that the project and business objectives are achieved through the solution.

As a key member in our transformational projects, this role will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmap that ensures seamless, secure IT services and a frictionless user experience. This role focuses on optimizing both operating costs and capital investments by reducing tech debt and eliminating point-solutions within our technology stack. The incumbent will lead and guide the IT organization in the development of a vision for IT that is fit-for-purpose, robust and cost effective.

This role is also responsible in driving the modernization and efficiency of our day-to-day delivery. International SOS is looking to build our capabilities in zero-touch automation across infrastructure management, service management and application management. This role will participate in the assessment of technology and provide guidance on IT supplier selection to ensure that there is minimal technology lock-in and that the technology solution is in line with our roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• Experience in the implementation of SAP S/4HANA projects with architecture skills.

Summary: As a Naval Architect, you serve as a critical link between the Head of New Building and site teams, ensuring project performance, safety, and resource adequacy. You will oversee ongoing projects, monitor their progress, and coordinate shore-based support as needed.

Employment Type: Contract (18-Month)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensure Naval Architecture design review for the new build and retrofit projects are in accordance with class rules
• Review and approve ship construction and arrangement plans including reviewing 3D models.
• Attend and review CFD Model test data including towing test for new design
• Monitor the projects performance and safety aspects of ongoing projects and ensure adequate resources and shore-based support.
• Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external parties including shipyard, regulatory bodies pertaining to design requirements.
• Perform new building basic ship calculation, design conceptual studies and analysis
• Study and evaluate various ESD for improving the performance of existing vessels.
• Assist with modifications and retrofitting projects on existing vessels.
• Assist the Technical department for major steel renewals and during emergency situations involving hull breach or grounding.
• Prepare vessels operation manual, SOPEP, ballasting plan GMP.

Requirements:

• Degree in Naval Architecture.
• Experience in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• 8 years of new building working experience with Boskalis International BV, specializing in New Building projects and plan approval.
• Good team player.
• Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively in diverse, multinational environments.

1. The scope of Services for the One (1) Onshore Software Architect shall be as follows:

a) Evaluate current architecture and technology stack for the Authority’s systems, which includes system design and recommend architectural solutions to align with business goals, technical requirements and Government policies;

b) Manage technology refresh and End-of-Service (EOS) product replacements, including planning, product exploration, recommendations and. implementations. The scope of technology management includes developing and maintaining technology roadmaps, as well as overseeing, providing guidance and supporting Authority’s appointed contractors throughout the delivery, setup, testing, and deployment phases;

c) Define technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for software development;

d) Conduct product and technology evaluation, including making recommendations;

e) Review existing architecture documentations to ensure all documentations are kept up to date. If required, to develop and maintain system architecture documentations;

f) Conduct knowledge sharing and training when necessary;

g) Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse project and architectural requirements;

h) Monitor system performance and scalability, making recommendations for improvements on a need-be basis; and

i) Architecting and solutioning for new systems, including designing high level system architecture and developing solution and recommending implementation approaches, ensuring alignment with the Authority’s objectives and Enterprise Architect (EA).

2. The Onshore Software Architect proposed by the Contractor shall have at least 3 years of experience as a Software Architect or equivalent position and the following experiences and qualifications:

a) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent would be preferred;

b) Relevant recognition and/or certification of his/her competency as an Architect;

c) Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns;

d) Track record of design and implementing large scale systems;

e) Experience with on-premises, cloud or hybrid architectures;

f) Experience and skills in the following would be advantageous:

i. Setup and implementation or technology refresh for system infrastructure such as server, network, storage, middleware, monitoring tools, etc.;

ii. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity implementation, backup & recovery processes and high availability architectures; and

iii. Cloud infrastructure and technology.

g) Knowledge on IT Governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT.
