Essential Job Functions

The Assistant Manager, Exhibitions, is responsible for the development of multiple Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions. The role covers research, content scoping and project management to deliver meaningful and engaging exhibition experiences for Science Centre’s visitors. The role involves supervision of junior staff comprising imagineers and producers.

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualize and implement exhibition experiences, encompassing content scoping, ideation, timeline and budget management, project oversight, script development, and stakeholder management to ensure successful and timely project delivery within budget.

- Conduct post-project reviews, collaborate with department heads to assess impact, employ formative and summative methodologies, communicate risks to the team, and work on risk mitigation.

- Organize cross-departmental events to foster engagement, ensuring smooth operations, and promoting high performance and well-being is a key aspect of the role. This includes organizing talks, forums, and competitions, providing training, conducting check-ins with staff, and promoting organizational culture.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Science or its equivalent, along with a strong understanding or experience in scientific principles and/or research, science communication and project management. Experience in museum interpretive studies is an added advantage.

Other Skills/Abilities

He/She should possess a self-driven and creative nature, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Additionally, he/she should demonstrate a keen aesthetic and/or design sense, a genuine passion for science, and the ability to effectively translate concepts into engaging experiences.

1. You shall have a complete knowledge of all the pertinent governmental regulations, company policies and standards to which the company adheres and ensure that all rules and regulations are followed.
2. You shall ensure that the relevant operating instructions, manuals, regulatory publications, decompression and treatment tables (either paper or electronic copies) are available at the dive site and are maintained to reflect current changes and/or developments. They include but are not limited to:

• The Company’s Diving Manual present at the work site.
• A copy of the SS:511 Commercial Diving Operations.
• A copy of the Company MSs, SWPs & RAs for all respective tasks.
• A copy of the Emergency Response plan and Contact list
  1. Brief all divers on the operational & contingency plans and procedures to be followed during the diving operation.
  2. Maintain safety of dive team and ensure that the diving operation is carried out from dive site equipped to deal with emergencies as per diving operation manual.
  3. Oversee diving operations to ensure that their execution complies with the legal requirements of HSE, SS511 & IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) and diving systems management of the company.

1. Ensure that the diving equipment is adequate and in good operating condition.
   • Review all diver and tender Personal Dive Equipment (PDE) upon arrival at the worksite. Under no circumstances will any PDE be used for diving operations if the inspection and maintenance records are not established to be correct.
   • Ensure, prior to commencing a diving operation,that additional parties directly involved in the diving operation,masters of vessels, harbour masters, managers of civil engineering sites, inland waterways, and all persons responsible for anything that affects the diving operation are advised that diving operations are to be undertaken.
   • Ensure that the operations are conducted from a suitable location.
   • Develop and/or implement emergency/contingency procedures.
   • Ensure a two‐way communication system is available at the dive location to obtain emergency assistance.
   • Perform a Job Hazard Analysis for all tasks undertaken.
   • Ensure sufficient breathing air, proper equipment and supplies are available for safe and timely completion of the job task.
   • Ensure two‐way communication between the diver, the dive station and any equipment operators that may affect the dive.
   • Ensure that the diving equipment designated for use is:
   1. Suitable for the planned diving operation.
   2. Sufficient to regulatory requirements for the diving mode used.
   3. Inspected prior to each dive and in good working order
2. Assign the duties of all members of the dive team and personally direct them throughout the diving operation.
3. Personally verify that all personnel on the dive team are qualified and physically able to perform tasks assigned.
4. Assess the physical condition of the divers prior to each dive to determine if any physical impairment is present which would be detrimental to their health and safety in the water or under hyperbaric conditions.
5. Ensure the detailed briefing of the diving team and support personnel including:
   1. Tasks to be undertaken
   2. Unusual hazards or environmental conditions
6. Maintain a depth, bottom time, and breathing mix profile (surface dive sheet) at the dive location for each diver during the dive.
7. Ensure that each diver is continuously tended while in the water and decompression chamber.
8. Ensure that when diving in the mud or sand (on bottom) the diver’s pneumo hose is not allowed to fill with mud or sand.
9. Ensure the dive is terminated when:
   1. The diver requests termination
   2. The diver fails to respond to communication or communication is lost between the diver and dive team members at the dive location
   3. The diver begins to use his diver‐carried reserve breathing gas supply
   4. Weather or site conditions are degrading to the extent that diver safety may be compromised.
10. Ensure after every dive:

The physical condition and wellbeing of the diver is checked by visual observation and verbal questioning.

1. The diver is instructed to report any physical problems or symptoms of decompression sickness or arterial gas embolism.
2. The diver is advised of the location of the nearest operating decompression chamber.
3. Notify the Company Top Management as soon as possible after the occurrence of any incident including diving incidents, any sign or symptom of decompression illness, AGE, omitted decompression or any deviation from the scheduled decompression, however minor.
4. Maintain and submit reports required by the company and relevant governmental regulations concerning diving operations and equipment maintenance, testing or repair.
5. View and ensure accuracy of the diver personal logbook and affix signature to properly record activities.
6. Maintain certification in First Aid, AED, O2 admin and CPR.
7. Plan the mobilization of diving equipment & personnel by conferring with relevant parties.
8. To stand in as Dive Supervisor or Diver as and when required.
9. Ensure proper planning of any type of Diving operation.
10. Prepare and Submit final reports to client or office.
11. Keep Management well informed on the job planning.

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing directives for the Quality Assurance Department in meeting management objectives.
2. Formulate, implement and evaluate quality strategies programs for the company.
3. Implement and maintain a system of auditing the facility and periodic calibration of test, measuring equipment and tools.
4. Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs.
5. Administer and manage continuous improvement program for all QA processes.
6. Work closely with auditors, customers, production and suppliers to meet the quality requirements.
7. Manage sub-contractors for on-time supply of treatment process, as well as meeting technical requirement.

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in business by ensuring that products meet certain standards of quality. Job Description

• Lead the process and mechanical team for process plant EPC project, including design, engineering, supporting procurement & installation, and testing & commissioning works
• Review tender specifications and meticulously evaluate vendor proposals for process mechanical equipment, propose suitable equipment brands for tender submission and procurement, prepare cost estimations for process mechanical work during the tender stage
• Provide support during the procurement, contract negotiation, and progress claim processes throughout project execution
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, ensuring the seamless transition to operational status
• Plan and manage the process mechanical work schedule, and keep the Management Team informed of project progress, emerging issues, and resource requirements

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor degree in Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years’ proven experience in process/mechanical design of process plant (incineration plant, water/wastewater plant, etc.), at least 2 years’ experience in leadership or team lead role. Experience in the Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) wastewater treatment system is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and Singapore codes of practice.

The role involves the execution of duties to the highest possible standards. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and perform all of the activities necessary to plan, procure, manage and administer all issues related to power & construction and industrial site work.

Your duties will involve working closely with project staff and contractors across multiple technical disciplines requiring the supervision of numerous simultaneous tasks to meet very specific and immovable milestones. You will be privy to confidential information by necessity.

It is expected that the Manager’s role will require, but not be limited to the following key functions:

* Planning/Scheduling

* Holding weekly staff meeting with P&C team, monitoring and reviewing staff working hours and writing performance reviews for P&C staff

* Contract Management • Negotiate and convert contracts as required by the project

* Oversee the award of contracts and ensure the client is adequately protected

* Scheduling, minuting and issuing various project meetings and ensure minutes are actioned in a timely manner

* Provide regular and accurate reporting on the project progress, costs and quality

* Review and oversee the management of all P&C contracts and ensure that there are no major gaps or issues in providing the required P&C deliverables

* Monitoring and reviewing all P&C work instructions and variations ensuring that all information is accurate, recorded and follows the designated project approval process

Job Requirements:

* Electrical & Electronics Engineering qualification with minimum 12 -15 years relevant experience

* Master Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power system in the relevant field in the power & construction industry

* Minimum 10-12 years’ project management experience, including minimum of 8 years’ experience in Singapore.

* Excellent overall knowledge of most P&C systems, Knowledge in innovative components introduce and handling.
