We seek a passionate freelance Art Lab Instructor to guide and inspire primary school students in their creative journey. The instructor will deliver engaging, student-centric art sessions, helping participants develop their artistic style while encouraging confidence and self-expression.

Responsibilities:

● Plan and conduct art sessions for P1-P3 (10:00am - 11:00am) and

P4-P6 (11:00am - 12:30pm) students.

● Use exploratory and self-discovery approaches to foster creativity

and artistic development.

● Incorporate various techniques such as textual, painting, drawing, 3D

and experimental art.

● Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

tailored to the abilities and interests of each age group.

What you will do as an Indoor Skydiving Flight Instructor:

• Train customers for the flight experience
• Ensure the safety of customers during flight.
• Briefing and debriefing customers before and after their flights
• Assist customers in extending their flight experience.
• Conduct one-on-one personal training sessions with members.
• Grow and maintain good relationship with members.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

You will need to:

• Go through a fitness test as this position requires physical strength to fly in the wind tunnel during flight/training sessions.

Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

• A PhD in the area of sports injuries prevention, rehabilitation, or related areas

• A proven track record of research and publications in related areas, including the ability to secure and manage competitive grants and an emerging record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals

• An excellent track record in university teaching and research in the related fields, preferably at an institution of good standing and a promising trajectory in research and publications

• Evidence of a good record in teaching courses in the related fields

• Experience in supervising graduate students

• Leadership in research management (e.g., research grants received) and experience in curriculum development

In addition, an Associate Professor (tenure-track) will be expected to:

• Lead critical areas of research in sports injuries and related fields within the department

• Mentor young faculty members in the department

• Lead in the provision of professional services to schools, the Ministry of Education, and other public organisations as and when required

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Teach academic and sports activity courses

• Be involved in student supervision, associated research, graduate student supervision, and some administrative work.

Responsibilities

Facilities Management:

• Oversee management of all PESS sports facilities.
• Propose technological solutions to enhance users’ experience at PESS sports facilities.
• Propose and streamline office and facility procedures to ensure an efficient and safe day-to-day running of the facilities within the PESS Faculty.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to optimise processes and address potential issues.
• Supervise the daily operations at PESS Sports Facilities Office, including all logistical, functional and medical needs of relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to:
• Work with faculty members to set up sports equipment for classes.
• Provide logistics support for sports-related events.
• Perform regular inspection of sports facilities to ensure that users adhere to rules and regulations and to inform relevant parties in the event when faulty equipment are spotted.
• Conduct briefing for visitors to PESS sports facilities.
• Perform inspection of fitness rooms particularly during peak hours’ usage.
• Perform first aid duties in the event of injuries.
• Perform any other duties assigned by PESS management.

Event Strategy, Planning, and Coordination:

• Provide end-to-end support for both students and Department driven event initiatives.
• Facilitate the ideation and creation of event concepts led by NIE student bodies to foster holistic student out-of-classroom experiences.
• Collaborate with students in a mentoring capacity with internal and external stakeholders, including the management of relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Provide mentoring to students to prepare them for real-world operational challenges within the sports industry.

Analytics and Data Management:

• Process data on facility usage, safety considerations, and event related metrics.
• Develop and upkeep accurate records of events and facilities operations within the sports facilities.
• Prepare reports and analysis on event outcomes, facility operations, and safety considerations depending on department or organisation needs.
• Utilise data to make recommendations on events, operations and facility related metrics to enhance efficiency and improve effectiveness in all three functions.

Requirements

• A University Degree in Sport Management, Exercise or Sports Science or other relevant qualifications.
• Relevant experience in facilities and events management.
• Relevant experience in automation software (e.g., Power Automate) will be advantageous.
• Training in First Aid & AED would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Able to perform shift work. (Working hours: Morning shift: 8am to 5.15pm, Afternoon shift: 12.45pm to 10pm).

Other Information

NIE staff can take chartered buses at their own expense from or near their homes to the NIE campus. This is subject to availability of seats.

The title for this position is Fitness Instructor (Project Management). You must have worked at least 3 years in event management performing roles in bidding, planning, managing resources as well as managing the event day. And you must be someone with great passion in sport and fitness. Having obtained any fitness certificates will be added advantage but not mandatory as we have planned for courses to let you achieve this. However, you must be ready at all times to be deployed to various part of Singapore as part of the project manpower.

You shall be required to perform 2 roles, as a project executive, or as a fitness trainer in to conduct workout sessions (for physical and virtual sessions) and to stand in for absentees. You shall be working 6 days a week and up to 44 hours per week. Your official work time is from 11:00AM to 08:00PM but you shall be flexible in your time as and when it is needed. We are in a fast-moving industry, you ought to be someone who may keep up.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the manpower required for various projects, including deployment and recruitment of new staffs. You shall also provide counselling to the manpower that fail to comply with the requirement or the procedures and guidelines of the projects.
• Conduct induction for trainers and facilitators newly join.
• Be the project manager on the ground. You must be prepared for the need to be at site to manage issues and problems as and when these arise. This is not a back-office position.
• Monitor the quality of events and implement procedures and guidelines to improve
• Investigate and write incident reports
• Compile monthly reports for the commercial clients
• Be a Fitness Trainer for workout sessions; conduct and lead a group of participants to do workout.

Requirement

• At least 3 years of work experience in event management
• Having a Certified Personal Trainer certificate or other fitness certificates is an added advantage
• At minimum a Diploma in any business or marketing studies, or a Diploma in Sport Science or equivalent.
