As a Volunteer Management (Intern) at the World Aquatics Championships 2025 (WCH2025), you will be on the volunteer management team managing various volunteer management administration and operations. Your responsibilities include volunteer operations planning, volunteer management, training and engagement, with a focus on creating a cohesive and efficient volunteer pool that contributes to the WCH2025's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Recruitment:
• Liase with Team Nila HQ to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract volunteers.
• Assist in scheduling the screening and interviewing of potential volunteers, assessing their skills and alignment with our functional area requirements.
2. Orientation and Training:
• Assist to schedule comprehensive training programmes for volunteers.
• Provide ongoing training and support to volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
3. Volunteer Management:
• During Pre-Games and Games-Time, support in deployment and re-deployment of volunteers based on their skills and interests.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for volunteers to thrive.
4. Volunteer Recognition:
• Assist to organize the workforce appreciation night to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of volunteers.
• Provide opportunities for volunteers to network and build professional relationships.
5. Data Management:
• Prepare satisfaction surveys or reports on volunteers management.
• Observe PDPA regulations when handling volunteers’ data.
• Support the knowledge management after games-time

In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Must be interested in the aquatic sports industry.
• Previous experience in volunteer management or human resources.
• Knowledge of relevant software such as MS Teams, OneDrive and Sharepoint.
• Academic Background in Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Business, Event Management, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent Attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
• Strong ability to write and engage with stakeholders.
• Responsible and skilled with computers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with the aquatic sports industry is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel as needed before and during the event, including weekends and public holidays.
