• Analyze vessel performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Input operational data into IMO VIP, Excel, and other required systems.
• Maintain accurate records of vessel positions.
• Draft charter parties and other relevant documentation as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational matters related to assigned vessels.
• Ensure thorough review and compliance with all terms and conditions outlined in contracts.

Risk Management

• Provide guidance to the Front Office on contract reviews, revisions, and strategies to mitigate risk exposure.
• Identify and address potential risks associated with transactions and vessel operations.
• Collaborate across departments to develop practical and effective solutions.
• Ensure operational documentation is prepared and processed accurately in line with industry standards.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks related to weather, port congestion, and regulatory changes.

Compliance

• Uphold confidentiality, protect company assets, and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Follow internal control procedures and work with the Compliance team to enhance processes.

Other Responsibilities

• Handle additional freight and shipping-related tasks, such as system testing, as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in dry bulk freight chartering and operations.
• Experience managing commodities such as coal, iron ore, bauxite, or copper concentrate is preferred.
• Proficiency in maritime terminology and independent voyage execution.
• Strong network within the dry bulk shipping industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the dry bulk shipping market and operational processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and stress management abilities.
• Skilled in industry-specific tools, such as IMOS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations and risk management practices.

• Responsible for end-to-end Post fixture for all the company voyage, time and period chartered vessels from the pre fixture stage till voyage completion
• Oversee all operational matters for the managed vessel, ensuring compliance with charter party agreements, loading and discharge operations, and voyage optimization to maximize efficiency and minimize cost
• Ensure the accuracy of voyage P&L accuracy, providing input for payment due to Owners and receivable from Charterers
• Handle claims in coordination with legal/P&I / lawyers
• Manage freight invoices, demurrage/despatch, laytime hire payment and port disbursement and reconciliation of voyage results.
• Coordinate with trade operations team with regards to laytime settlement, NOR clauses, payment of hire/freight etc.
• Handle freight operations matters in terms of bunkers’ procurement, enquiry of port costs/restrictions, booking of grabs, sending of voyage instructions.
• Review all the terms & conditions of the agreed contracts thoroughly, ensuring compliance with all requirements and fulfillment of obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Maritime, Logistics / related discipline.
• 3-5 years of dry bulk freight chartering, and operations required
• Proficiency in industry-specifics software and tools, such as chartering systems (e.g.,IMOS), voyage optimization software, and Microsoft Office Suite

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Chartering team during pre-fixture with all relevant information exchanges in
  order to ensure smooth and efficient vessel/cargo operations.
• Handle day-to-day operation of assigned vessels.
• Calculate and arrange charter hire, sea freights, port disbursement, payments for – insurance
  premiums, etc., all relevant 3rd party payments/ refunds relevant to the voyage
• Communicate with Master and other parties concerning operational matters as and when
  required
• Maintain an efficient line of communication between chartered vessels and office at all times.
• Analyse risk management data.
• Assess viability of workflow improvements.
• Coordinate day-to-day fleet operational activities under supervision.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients.
• Manage compliance with risk management frameworks, policies and processes.
• Manage contracts with shipowners, cargo owners and brokers.
• Manage information exchange between clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage issues arising from servicing client accounts.
• Monitor vessel schedules.
• Support compliance department in ensuring ship operations are in compliance with internal
  company procedures.

Requirements

• Preferably Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Maritime Studies.
• Min 3 years experience in dry bulk shipping-related business with exposure to
  cargo operations.
• Good communicator with good English both written and spoken.
• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office.
