We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become part of our Impact Forecasting team based in Singapore. The team of 150 plus members based globally in 5 offices (Prague, London, Chicago, Singapore, and Bangalore) consists of scientists, developers, and client services colleagues, developing and supporting catastrophe models for various natural and human-made perils including flood, windstorm, earthquake, fire, terrorism etc.

This role involves working with Catastrophe Insight and Tropical cyclone R&D practice groups. The role will focus on development of natural catastrophe models quantifying risk due to tropical cyclones for re/insurance applications and as such, successful candidate is expected to understand catastrophe risk model development methodologies, become proficient in the ELEMENTS platform; and understand general catastrophe modeling practices and features. As a territorial contact for catastrophe insight team, this role will also involve assisting APAC reinsurance brokers and clients prior/during/after catastrophe events.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Meteorology, Climate science, Atmospheric science, Hydrology, Water resources, Geography, Geophysics or equivalent)

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Market Risk Analyst, you will:

• Analyse market risks of our trading positions in all relevant markets & asset classes
• Build out the existing market risk management governance and control framework
• Advise on limit requests, policies and methodologies around our trading strategies
• Be involved in risk projects that strengthen our risk position, whilst involving multiple stakeholders across the organization
• Work with our software engineering teams to improve our risk systems and support new business

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• At least 3 years of experience in a risk, quantitative trading/research or related role
• An adept communicator
• Have good planning and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail
• Have a natural curiosity
• Proactive by nature and can work autonomously
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment
• Have a practical mindset with the ability to remain calm in a crisis
• Experience with coding (VBA, Python, Matlab or other) is a plus

The Opportunity:

We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Analysts who embrace teamwork and automation to quickly mitigate or escalate critical processing issues. A System Application Analyst is responsible to fully support the batch processing for Visa’s Debit, Data Platforms, and Core Systems applications in a multi-data center environment. The daily duties include monitoring batch processing flows, resolving errors following incident and problem management processes, and supporting daily change activities. You will get to see your efforts support critical processing of financial and non-financial data our clients depend on.

The Work itself:

The System Application Analyst is responsible for the management and recovery of the Visa’s Core batch applications and services which include:

• Taking corrective actions to recover failed jobs and ensure batch processing is executed on time and to completion
• Monitoring batch processes and addressing issues to ensure SLAs are met
• Escalating issues appropriately based on documented processes
• Documenting all issues following standard ITIL Incident and Problem Management processes
• Communicating with Clients via e-mail and phone to address issues or provide status on file deliveries
• Performing change reviews, executing change tasks, and coordinating change activity as needed
• Assisting support teams in updating job documentation and job schedules as needed to support efficient and effective batch processing
• Performing proactive analysis of the Visa’s complex batch schedules to detect potential problems and when required, take preventive/corrective actions
• Performing UAT (user acceptance testing) for new or upgraded operational monitoring tools and batch related user interfaces

Role Responsibilities

1. Develop and Implement Custom Solutions

• Design, develop, and deploy customized Power Apps solutions to replace existing InfoPath forms, ensuring alignment with business requirements and seamless integration with SharePoint.
• Implement Power Automate workflows to automate processes across Power Apps and SharePoint, enhancing efficiency and user experience.

2. Automate Workflows and Business Processes

• Design and develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline approval processes, notifications, and other business tasks.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing workflows to improve performance and ensure reliability, minimizing manual intervention.

3. Collaborate with Stakeholders to Gather Requirements

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand current workflows, gather detailed requirements, and propose solutions that leverage Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and provide recommendations.

This position analyses and supports the hotel’s results and performance in various revenue streams (Rooms, F&B, Spa and Boutique) and recommends strategies and expectations based on the observed data trends and market changes.

Primary Responsibilities

Manages Revenue Management Operations

• Daily rate strategies review for daily rates and inventory to ensure room revenue optimization.
• Manage distribution of rates and inventory for the various market segments to ensure accuracy and parity.
• Ensures daily communication between Reservations and Front Office colleagues regarding inventory, short-term sell strategies, Group / Convention arrivals, rate changes and sell out strategies.
• Support different revenue streams with extraction of sales figures to support and analyze initiatives.
• To accurately process and manage Group reservations.
• Daily review and optimization of F&B reservations to ensure full optimization of covers and revenue for F&B outlets.
• With direct leader’s guidance, works closely with different revenue streams to support achieving the budget and forecast expectations.

Involvement in Wider Job Function Actions / Relationships

• Surveys the market and competitors in terms of performance (RevPAR Index, market penetration), pricing and availability as a basis for future tactical decisions.
• Takes an active role in the development of rates, promotions, packages and other selling strategies.
• Ensures compliance with the Best Price Guarantee and manage third party distributors in line with AccorHotels standards.
• Identifies business opportunities for need periods and participates in various newsletters, banners, e-brochures or ads to drive incremental revenue in various revenue streams.
• Stays current with the industry trends.
• Conducts and attends relevant meetings.
• Supports AccorHotels Corporate programs, such as Planet 21.
• Ensures service standards and individual performance are aligned with Accor Values.
• Participates in developing different tactics, encompasses performance metrics, data standards, processes, policies, tools, training, best-practices and case studies to successfully roll out the strategies focusing on all revenue streams including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa and Raffles Boutique.
