Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic professional to join our Application L3 team who can guide the team to troubleshoot production issues, provide technical solutions, provide maintenance and support for a mission critical system.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Technical (Tech/Team) Lead to be responsible for identifying the issues, providing solutions for technical issues which arise from the product delivered. To be successful as a Java Tech/Team Lead, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of industry best practices, good organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in JAVA technologies. Ultimately, the Java Tech/Team Lead should possess good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Investigate on the issues reported by Application Support (L2) and provide workaround and/or permanent solution.
• Workaround solution includes but not limited to: data patch, shell scripting, PL/SQL scripting etc.
• Permanent solution includes code change, workflow change etc.
• Trouble shooting involves, simulation of the issue, going through various logs, working with the application team and with the infra team.
• Should possess good people management skills such as managing the team, task allocation, mentoring, monitoring, motivating the team etc.
• Support continuous improvement throughout the development life cycle of enterprise level software solutions. This includes enhancing / maintaining of software applications.
• Create and maintain documentation for software design specifications.
• Perform Unit Testing, Integrated Testing and troubleshooting of software application issues.
• Reviewing the work of other team members with feedback for improvement (if applicable)
• Using coding standards and best practices to ensure quality deliverables
• Contribute as a team member to an operational, integration or application architecture requirements, design, implementation, or on-going operations deliverables

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 5 years of development experience in Java
• Experience in performing production support
• Experience in Spring/Spring Boot framework
• Experience in relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL
• Experience in implementing web services such as SOAP and RESTful web services
• Experience in frontend frameworks such as Angular, Struts, jQuery and Bootstrap
• Experience in batch processing implementations
• Have implemented some form of custom frameworks such as security and validations

1. IT Technical Responsibilities

1. Maintenance, administration and monitoring of Servers
2. Perform Server administration and management of windows servers, VMWare, AD Domain services, AD Certificate services, DHCP, DNS, MS Exchange and Email filtering
3. User account creation and deletion for Windows, Emails, BT, VPN, Messenger and door access
4. Maintenance/ Administration of Network Infrastructure
5. Maintain and update firewall settings
6. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, routers, switches, voice circuits, leased lines, telephone lines, etc for the smooth operations of the Company
7. Assist IT Manager in implementing information and cyber security and control structures
8. Handle system backup, storage management and system recovery.
9. Conduct servers backup (daily/weekly/monthly backup)
10. Handle renewal of maintenance services for IT equipment/ software licenses
11. Perform tests and evaluations on new software and hardware
12. Liaise with vendors for IT equipment purchase and technical support
13. Liaise with vendors for new voice circuits, leased lines, data subscriptions, etc
14. Check invoices from vendors & perform cost allocation (Voice circuits & data subscription) for Finance
15. Provide desktop support duties
16. Workstation and trading phone setup for new users
17. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems networks, printers and scanners, etc.
18. Provide technical support for User Desktops, BT Trading system, voice circuits, etc across the company (in person or over phone)
19. Support of desktop applications like Bloomberg and Refinitiv related applications
20. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
21. Rollout Windows updates and patches
22. Regular checks for PC and Server OS patches and updates

Requirements:

- Minimum Diploma in Information Technology related field

- Minimum 1 year of experience

- Experience in firewalls, routers and switches configurations

- Experience in MS Active Directory Account, MS Exchange, VMWare and Linux administration

- Meticulous, resourceful, independent, good interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility

- Possess MCSA, MCP, CCNA knowledge and working experience in financial sector will be added advantage

- Good interpersonal skills

- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays occasionally

• Manage and configure infrastructure systems and applications, including Active Directory Services, data centers, video conferencing, audio systems, telephony, server storage, backups, and more. Additionally, oversee network devices such as firewalls, routers, VPNs, internet proxies, wireless networks, desktops, mobile, and remote devices.
• Ensure automated system backups, successful execution of recovery and disaster recovery plans, and timely application of patches. Monitor system resource usage to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with external vendors to uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including administration and user guides.
• Provide technical support for both local and overseas branch users across LAN and WAN environments, maintaining strict security standards.
• Identify and evaluate products, solutions, vendors, and suppliers to meet project requirements.
• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support while leading or contributing as a team member in various projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; CCNA certification is an added advantage.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in enterprise networking, including the implementation and support of WAN, LAN, and VPN optimization.
• Experienced in managing Microsoft Server 2012 and later versions, Microsoft 365, and Google Suite products and services.
• Knowledgeable in internet architecture designs such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy, and Firewall configurations.
• Familiar with hardware including Alcatel PABX, FortiGate devices, Cisco equipment, and Unifi Wireless Access Point Controllers.
• Strong understanding of Cyber Risk and Cybersecurity principles; knowledge of PDPA is highly desirable.
• Experience with Veeam, VMware, and UNIX/Linux systems is a plus.
• Skills in API/Web Programming and Database Administration are considered an asset.
