POSITION SUMMARY

An IT support individual is in charge of supporting end user technologies, including desktop, printers, devices and potentially network and systems of all types, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly. IT Support monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support for end user desktops and laptops which include but not limited to internal hardware component replacements.
• Network, Desktop & Server OS support & administration.
• Provide first level troubleshooting & installation of software or firmware applications.
• Install, support & maintain IT peripherals such as keyboard, printer, projector & others.
• Support recurring tasks such as back up, patch management, IT system monitoring, cyber-security protection from viruses and spam wares attack, etc.
• Liaise & coordinate with IT vendors/suppliers on IT purchases, projects & support IT systems.
• Update IT inventory & Licences, ensuring appropriate and sufficient level of vendor support.
• Attend to emergency calls & weekend /off hours support.
• Any other responsibilities & ad hoc assignment as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• NITEC or higher.
• Min 1 year experience in IT field works.
• Knowledge of current Windows & mobile operating systems.
• Good knowledge in IT hardware & administration support for Microsoft Windows.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Candidates familiar Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Windows.
• Server & Microsoft SQL Server will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support:

• Handle daily administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments.
• Organize and maintain files, records, and documents (both digital and physical).
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and meeting agendas.
• Provide support in document preparation for internal and external communications.

2. Operational Support:

• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the organization's operational processes to ensure efficiency.
• Support in data entry, updating systems, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Help track business operations performance and assist with project timelines.
• Coordinate and support logistical arrangements for business events, conferences, or travel.

3. Communication & Coordination:

• Act as a point of contact between departments, ensuring effective communication.
• Prepare and distribute internal communications, such as memos, newsletters, or updates.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and other external parties as needed.
• Assist with resolving issues or queries from staff or clients in a timely manner.
  

4. Project Management Assistance:

• Assist with managing business projects by tracking progress and deadlines.
• Ensure project documentation is organized and accessible.
• Coordinate resources and logistics for project execution.
• Support project teams in conducting research and preparing reports.
• Support with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and processes.

• Experienced in an Enterprise Application Support environment, collaborating with developers, infrastructure teams, service desks, and business users.
• Has functional expertise in payment systems such as GIRO, FAST, CTS, MEPS+, overseas and domestic remittances, internet banking, and customer eAdvices.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency in applications hosted on both Windows and Linux platforms, with the ability to perform database queries (SQL Server, Oracle) and manage application services on these systems.
• Skilled in scripting languages, including DOS and Shell scripting.
