About the Role

The Medical Writer and Analyst positions are ideal for those with experience in scientific research and for enthusiastic recent graduates in the sciences who are seeking the opportunity to be part of a growing team. You will be based in our Singapore office working in our Asia-Pacific team, as well as collaborating with colleagues from our UK and US teams.

Medical Writers and Analysts work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats including posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications. These deliverables are used directly by our clients in communication with external stakeholders instrumental to the successful uptake of novel therapies. The work is structured on a project-by-project basis and you will usually be working on several projects in different disease areas at any one time.

You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues in both the Singapore UK and US offices who provide one-to-one training in the technical aspects of the role, including project management and effective client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients and, following a successful induction period, you will increasingly engage in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

Positions are available for those looking for an entry-level role as well as those with some prior experience. We are looking for ambitious individuals with the potential to progress rapidly into more senior roles involving greater project management and client responsibility. Costello Medical is structured into divisional teams focusing on distinct services within the healthcare industry. Our Singapore office is structured around three teams who focus on Medical Communications, Evidence Development, and Market Access. • Medical Communications: Medical communications provide the scientific bridge between clinical development and commercial functions in pharmaceutical and device companies. Most activities have a strong patient and/or healthcare professional (HCP) focus, and act to educate and inform clinical decision making and patient care, or to gather insights that inform a product’s clinical development. These projects require the ability to work closely with clients and prominent HCPs to deliver high quality writing that is scientifically rigorous, patient focused, and in line with the strategic positioning of the pharmaceutical or medical devices products. Working in medical communications at Costello Medical requires excellent project management skills, constant dedication to customer service and the development of strong relationships with clients, academics, and HCPs in the APAC region and globally.
  
  It is possible to work within our medical communications service offering as an Analyst or Medical Writer, with both roles sharing the same level of responsibility. Medical Writers specialise in the strategic planning and development of publications, which include abstracts, posters, oral presentations and manuscripts targeted at scientific journals and conferences. Analysts work across a variety of medical affairs projects and specialise in services such as advisory boards, and the development and multi-channel communication of educational scientific content for a wide range of audiences. • Market Access: Market access supports timely patient access to drugs and devices, involving the assessment of clinical efficacy and safety alongside costs to determine the value of a therapy within a specific disease area. Market access activities are targeted at a wide range of stakeholders who are instrumental to the successful funding and uptake of novel therapies, such as government bodies, payers, health technology appraisal (HTA) agencies, HCPs, and patients. Our Market Access team supports a wide range of clients in producing materials to demonstrate both the clinical and economic value of some of the newest, most innovative technologies in development. Our work is multidisciplinary, often beginning with evidence generation in the form of literature reviews, advisory boards with clinicians and payers, or economic modelling, to inform the development of materials that present an evidence-based account of the product’s value in a compelling and accessible manner.
  Analysts working across our Market Access services support a diverse range of value and access, HTA and health economics projects. These include developing product value messages and materials (e.g. brochures, slidesets, white papers, etc.), building health economic tools and models, and developing dossiers for submission to HTA agencies. A role in the Market Access division suits those who are passionate about patient access to healthcare, are fast-learners and have a strategic, problem-solving mindset. Exceptional writing skills are also essential, especially the ability to summarise complex data in a clear and creative way with high levels of attention to detail.
  
  
• Evidence Development: Evidence-based medicine is the cornerstone of medical decision-making. The work of our Evidence Development team encompasses literature reviews, synthesis and real-world evidence generation.
  
  Our literature review and synthesis projects involve the identification of clinical, economic and real-world evidence to support the value of a pharmaceutical product or medical device. Our work includes rigorous systematic literature reviews that our Statisticians often use to conduct meta-analyses and network meta-analyses, therefore Analysts in this team work together with our Statisticians to provide seamless scientific and technical support to our clients. We also work on more creative and pragmatic evidence reviews to inform clients’ strategic decisions with regard to clinical development or market access. You will gain a thorough understanding of how to conduct various kinds of evidence review from searching to interpretation of statistical results and ensuring that the reviews conform to industry guidelines where applicable. You will also be involved in writing up the methods and results of the reviews and statistical analyses into engaging reports, slide sets and often congress/journal publications.
  
  Our real-world evidence projects include the design, execution and subsequent reporting of prospective, retrospective or cross-sectional real-world studies. We develop protocols and statistical analysis plans (in collaboration with our Statisticians, Epidemiologists, clients and external experts), acquire and analyse data, and communicate the methodologies and results in both written and oral formats.

The Recruitment Process

Job Purpose:

The Senior Analyst, FIC Post Trade Services is responsible for day-to-day functioning and performance of FIC Operations and Collateral Management tasks.

FIC Operations consists of the following key functions:

• FX, money market, NDF and OTC derivative settlements

• Collateral Management (FOA/TOB/MTA/CSA/ISDA/GMRA)

Settlements are responsible for the settlement FX, money market, NDF and OTC derivative transactions. This includes settlement matching, standard settlement instruction sourcing and assignment, reconciliations and investigation of related breaks and client queries and escalation.

Cash Management is responsible for the daily management and monitoring of our nostro accounts which is a pivotal role in us fulfilling our contractual settlement obligations and also ensuring that we avoid any regulatory liquidity breaches. Job purpose includes:

The Finance Service Unit (“DFIN”) coordinates the Finance Line and ensures the Group’s financial production, steering and management via a number of complementary missions:

• support business lines, service units and general management in terms of financial and strategic steering
• ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and obligations
• ensure monitoring and steering of P&L and scarce resources performance (capital, liquidity, balance sheet) in keeping within strategic objectives and in compliance with regulatory obligations
• ensure regulatory watch on topics pertaining to scarce resources, accounting and finance.

Responsibilities

The Credit Analyst reports functionally to the Credit Manager of Regional Real Asset Infrastructure APAC and locally to the Co-Head of Real Asset Infrastructure APAC, based in Singapore, with the following responsibilities:

• Credit risk monitoring and reporting of the real asset and infrastructure credit exposures in accordance with EBA guidelines with a particular attention to ESG related matters.
• Active credit risk management and responsible of all necessary credit reviews, amendments, and waivers requests.
• Review, proposal and monitoring of obligor internal ratings and limits, and their potential concentration levels.
• Review loan documentation, related legal contracts and other information covenants including financial statements and project reporting.
• Analyse the construction progress or operating performance of the assets financed.
• Perform analysis and sensitivity runs on forecasts, budget and financial models.
• Active monitoring of portfolios to identify any potential early warnings and propose relevant solutions.
• Review, discuss and monitor the watchlist clients, provisions and work out situations associated.
• Identify industry trends and assess country, market and environmental risk.
• Various ad hoc tasks & reports, papers, as requested.
• Close interaction with Origination (Coverage, Financing Sectors and IBD), Sectors Heads, Portfolio Managers and Trading/Distribution (DCS) to facilitate the client business development.
• Liaise with other departments within the bank (back office, RISQ, DFIN etc.) as well as external contacts (borrowers, facility agents, advisers ie legal, technical, valuers and insurance.)
• Full compliance with RISQ and CPLE guidelines in the conduct of business.

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

• 7+ years’ experience in structured finance.
• Strong risk analysis and understanding of all structuring issues relevant for structured finance during loan’s life including risk monitoring, provisioning and work out.
• Strong fluency in financial analysis, modelling and review of legal documents.
• Strong understanding of trends in the sectors covered within APAC.
• Deep knowledge of the internal procedures and regulatory compliance coupled with a good understanding of conduct & culture values and general strategy of SG/GBIS.

• Participate in end-to-end projects for system implementation of machine learning system

• Engage and collaborate with Architects, Security and Development Lead to ensure solution design complies with enterprise design principles, security and control standards

• Liaise with application teams across group and countries build the enhancements according to the technical solution plan

• Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design document and other system documentation to capture key design decisions.

• Ensure scalability and maintainability of applications

• Plan technical deliverables, perform design and development works to meet project’s requirements within schedule

• Perform data mapping and process mapping with interfacing applications

• Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions

• Create technical documents for the solutions. Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation as requested

• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization

• Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing

• Partner with Test Management teams to ensure completion of SIT, UAT, performance / load testing and application security testing

• Liaise with other application teams and business users to prepare test data to support test scenarios

• Manage project change request approval windows and deployment schedule

• Facilitate and provide technical and testing support before and after production deployment

• Liaise with other units across IT and Business in the organization

• Manage external vendors for project delivery within schedule

Must Have

• More than 10 years assuming techno functional role in compliance technology(preferred) or risk/finance technology

• At least 8 years of experience in application and process design

• Ability to multitask effectively and handle large amounts of data

• Moderate SQL skills are required

• Highly driven, pro-active and a strong team player

• Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills in English
