General Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. As a Analyst (Costing), you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on the company's segment P&L. Your primary focus will be on costing for existing/new products/business lines, including fixed assets valuation, product costing, variance analysis, and cost control.

Roles & Responsibilities

Costing and Management Reporting Functions

• Develop life cycle costing for new product unit cost and at business unit level, including establishing standard costs.
• Support Make or Buy financial investment assessments.
• Monitors and updates the actual, committed and budgeted/forecasted cost periodically. Analyses these costs and trends in lights of impacts on unit cost to serve.
• Track internal budgets/forecasts, commitments, budget transfers, change and variation orders.

• Monitor, review and analyse regional capital market activities and corporate actions on targeted counter assessments
• Participation in deal structuring, negotiation of structured debt terms and delivery of bankable financing transactions to meet client’s specific corporate finance needs
• Assist Front Office Sales colleagues in communicating with clients to clarify deal structure and key terms which are essential to secure deals from other competitors
• Presents financing proposals to Credit Committee and address all credit queries pertaining to the financing requests which will be key reference for Credit Committee to make final decisions

• To lead the credit conversation on prospective opportunities in the screening committee forum.

• Primary responsibility and to lead the internal credit application process from end to end.
• With guidance from the credit manager, or head of department (with support from internal legal counsels and Lenders’ counsel), to lead the termsheet negotiation and structuring discussions with the client. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and credit policy guidelines.
• Guide and coach, the junior team members, developing them professionally.

Requirements:

• People leader, team player and solid independent professional. Highly adaptable to a cross-cultural environment and working closely with a multitude of professionals from various nationalities.
• Extensive deal structuring and credit experience across a multitude of sectors and exponent in various financing structures.
• Seasoned credit professional with extensive experience and track record in taking credit decisions/views. Ability to work with semi-complete information, but sufficient (enough) to form a sound, well-grounded credit view in a fast-paced, quickly moving, fluid and highly compressed schedule.
• Confident in expressing and communicating a credit opinion, including a negative recommendation.

Responsibilities

To provide data-driven financial insights, analysis, and finance business support that contribute to the overall success and decision-making of the organization.

Take ownership and ensure the integrity and quality for the financial planning and analysis processes including annual budgeting, monthly reforecasting and sensitivity analysis.

Contribute as finance business partner, participate, and provide comprehensive review and analysis to decision makers including, but not limited to:

analysis of revenue performance and growth, profit and losses, variances, revenue reports and key performance indicators

Ensure alignment between monthly and quarterly forecast and annual budget. Track forecast accuracy and manage/escalate risks to the forecast.

Drive forward dashboards and enhancements to the planning system to support a robust financial and funding plan that is consistent with the management plan.

Support financial reporting including impairment testing and hedging documentation.

Responsibility for debt management including monitoring for compliance with financing agreements and preparation of notices for bank-related procedures and processes.

Develop financial models, tools and methodology to make key business decisions. Advising relevant business units on the financial feasibility of any proposed strategies.

Requirements

Degree/ Diploma in Accountancy/ Finance./ ACCA with 8 -10 years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or Financial services.

Experience in a similar FP&A and/or finance related role, and building/maintaining a budgeting & forecasting system.

Highly skilled in financial modelling and analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Positive, resourceful and a strong team player. Ability to build relationships across the organization of varying functions and levels with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Open minded to influence processes changes and automation. Prior experience of business process re-engineering and ERP system implementation will be a plus.
