The Job

The bank in Singapore is looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst to join its dynamic derivatives development team to lead in providing solutions as Enterprise Market Data Services bank-wide covering Treasury, Risks, Financial, Wholesale and Retail banking across all countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Good domain and functional knowledge on Market and Referential data in supporting Global Markets, Risk, Finance, Regulatory reporting, Wholesale and Retail banking.
• Good understanding in Market and Referential data of the financial market data feeds on Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, Money Markets.
• Extend the knowledge of market data to provide solutions and support Wholesale banking, Retail banking and Financial or Regulatory reporting
• To be part of the team to embark Market Data Enterprise new project initiative.
• With NeoXam DataHub EDM specific product and development experiences to lead the design of Data model, establish as golden Data Source and distribute data to downstream systems at bank’s enterprise level.
• Responsible in bridging gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, collate requirements and deliver data and process driven recommendations to deliver business solutions.
• Analyse user (front to back office) requirements and formulate functional and work with developer to deliver technical design documents.
• Co-ordinate with vendor on specifications, build, delivery testing, and implementation.
• Communicate and manage end-to-end testing for users with vendor to internal Bank systems.
• Implement NeoXam’s DataHub software solutions to support upcoming projects for IBOR, BASELIV, Wealth Banking and scaling Market Data services to the next enterprise level.

Key Requirements:

• Degree, IT Engineering, Business or Finance
• You have minimum of 5 years of experience with IT projects in the banking / financial / insurance industry.
• Product knowledge in NeoXam Datahub, formerly known as Smartco/Golden Source
• Key functional domain knowledge on Market Data for Global Market Trading and its usage for downstream regulatory reporting.
• Co-ordinate with vendor on specifications, delivery testing, and implementation.
• Communicate and manage end-to-end testing for Business/Operation Users with vendor to internal bank systems.
• Analytical, a problem solver and take initiatives
• Working Technical knowledge and experiences with Geneos, BMC monitoring, Control-M, DevOps, Aldon, SFTP, Connect Directs, CHEF, Server Provisioning process and Infra changes.
• You have minimum of 2 years of experience with software implementation in the areas of Markit EDM, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), DataWarehouse (DW-ETL) or Business Intelligence (BI).

• You are fluent in English and are perfectly capable of evolving in an English speaking environment.
• You are highly motivated by the banking / financial / insurance industry and have a sound knowledge of the main financial instruments

• Conduct user requirement analysis for the design, definition, development, implementation and enhancement of new or existing IT projects/systems.
• Liaise closely with business users, evaluate procedures and develop flow diagrams, use cases, as well as translating business functional requirements to technical requirements.
• Liaise closely with vendors in project implementation, integration, testing, application patches and upgrades.
• Be involved in various stages of the SDLC, and providing any application support, troubleshooting or liaison.
• Plan and coordinate end-user training for any IT system implementations or enhancements.

Job Description

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis, and translate business requirements to system specifications.
• Manage the entire development lifecycle of enterprise-wide projects, including tender specifications preparation, evaluation and implementation of systems, vendor, and outsourcing contract management.
• Provide system and end-user support which includes application configuration, administration, maintenance, and data extraction requests.
• Value-add by providing advice on best practices in using appropriate technology, reviewing and improving work processes, facilitating and supporting users’ change management process, and influencing alignment of changes with the overall organization goals.
• Prepare test plans, and lead and coordinate integration and user-acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or IT
• At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience, with hands-on experience as a project / functional lead.
• Good experience in business requirements gathering and analysis.
• Prior IT experience in the institute of higher learning and SaaS application delivery (administering the setup and configuration) will be an added advantage.
• Certification in Business Analysis and/or Project Management (e.g. PMP, CITPM) will be useful.
• Good knowledge of software development life cycles and structured project development methodology.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, conflict management, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive self-starter who is quality-conscious, attentive to details, result-driven, and a team player.
