Position Summary
Join us at the forefront of innovation! As we expand into Singapore, we’re seeking a System Administrator within the Management Information Systems (MIS) team. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the IT infrastructure for the organisation. In the initial phase of your role, you will operate as an individual contributor, reporting directly to the IT Manager in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the office network systems, including Microsoft services (O365), Lotus Notes, leased/ADSL lines, web portals, and other internal systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Administer Active Directory, O365, VMware (Windows), network servers, and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software applications.
- Implement and maintain robust IT security protocols, ensuring compliance with both company policies and industry standards to safeguard company data and systems.
- Oversee server backup processes and ensure reliable data recovery mechanisms are in place, minimising downtime in the event of system failures.
- Provide in-house support for software and hardware issues, troubleshooting and resolving desktop and server-related problems to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all IT equipment, software, incidents, and services, ensuring thorough tracking and inventory management for audit purposes.
- Assist in the safe disposal of obsolete or non-functional equipment, ensuring data security and compliance with company disposal policies.
- Provide training and briefings to staff on the proper use of office systems, software applications, and network processes to promote efficient system usage.
- Manage IT support for the Singapore office, including onboarding and offboarding procedures, and oversee the allocation and maintenance of IT assets and software for staff.
- Provide remote server support to the Batam factory, and travel monthly to provide on-site assistance, resolving technical issues and ensuring continuous operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Min. 2 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment, as an individual contributor supporting IT functions of an organisation
- Strong knowledge of network administration, system management, and security protocols
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; fluency in Chinese and Cantonese a plus for effective interaction with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
- Able to work independently with a proactive attitude
- Positive and proactive attitude with strong professional qualities
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively across departments
- Dynamic and adept in handling pressure effectively
- Candidates must meet legal requirements to work in Singapore without sponsorship
