You ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly. In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you manage data center performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.

• Be responsible for the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and Control and Monitoring Systems.
• Develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs, whilst improving efficiencies. Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Provide tracking and trending operational characteristics. Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
• Follow the site’s environmental health and safety policies. Availability to work on shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, verifiable training in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in data center facilities.
• Experience in HVAC, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Safety, Electrical Systems, Electrical Infrastructure Systems, Mechanical Maintenance, Mechanical Infrastructure Systems, Generators.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment, work on platforms, ladders, and under raised floors.

Preferred qualifications

• 3 years of experience in controls/automation or the equivalent in a critical/ construction/ high tech environment.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, hotel industry, power plants, HV electrical substations, or other mission critical facility maintenance and operational experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units.
• Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.

Our client is a Biomass Power Plant in Singapore, utilizes wood and horticultural waste as fuel and features a solar installation.

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, ensuring proper functioning and precision.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Check mechanical components such as seals and bearings for damage or wear, replacing as needed.
• Perform equipment overhauls to fix problems and ensure peak performance.

Requirements:

• Nitec in Mechanical or equivalent
• At least 3 in maintenance/troubleshooting of plant equipment
• Proficient in welding and hot work while following safety standards.
