We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Singapore team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary technical skills and expertise to ensure the flawless commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in various construction projects.

Role & Responsibilities

Design:

· Understand the project requirements and coordinate with Arch, Civil, MEP team, and Client across all the stages

· Designing complete Electrical Systems of a project

· Preparation of Electrical system design calculations and schemes

· Preparation of electrical BOD, BOQ, Cable schedule, Load estimation, and Quantity estimation

· Design of Lighting, Power, cable tray, Earthing, and Equipment layouts

· Calculations such as load calculation, Transformer / DG / Capacitor Bank sizing, Cable Sizing / Schedule / HT / LT Cable sizing, Tray Sizing, Lighting Calculation, Short Circuit Calculation, Earthing Calculation, and Lightning protection

Testing & Commissioning:

· Witness and report on Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

· Inspect and report on construction installation quality

· Attend and witness Testing and Commissioning activities during construction phase on site

· Review design drawings and documents from a commissioning perspective

· Attend and contribute to commissioning meetings with Client and Contractors

· Assist with development of Integrated Systems Testing (IST) plans and scripts

· Participate in IST on site

· Assist with weekly and monthly reports on commissioning progress

· Review vendors O&M Manuals and training plans

Qualifications And Skills

· Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field of study

· Good understanding of electrical systems design

· 4 to 7 years’ experience in either design consultancy or electrical equipment vendor or electrical contractor

· Experience working on buildings construction projects

· Experience in Data Centres projects would be advantageous

· Familiarity with data centers infrastructure and ensuring the proper integration of MEP systems

Infrastructure Management:

• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.

• Implement automation and orchestration to streamline deployment and scaling processes.

Cloud Services Administration:

• Manage and administer various cloud services, including compute instances, storage solutions, databases, networking components, and serverless offerings hosted on AWS and Azure.

• Optimize resource utilizations to ensure efficient cloud service delivery and cost management.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Set up monitoring and alerting mechanisms to promptly identify and address performance issues and security vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with the incident response team to troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents, ensuring minimal service disruption.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices to protect cloud environments from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Assist in conducting security audits and assessments to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and security, to understand requirements and align cloud infrastructure accordingly.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Atleast 5 years of working experience in cloud operations, managing cloud-based infrastructure, and deploying cloud services.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools.

• Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.

• Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools for proactive issue detection.

• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

As a member of the respondents, you will be part of the team responsible for operational support of Authority's Data Centres (DCs) and expected to work independently. Your primary responsibility is to ensure system functionality, availability, data security, and compliance with industry standard. This includes:

a. Facilitating, monitoring and resolving any IT Infra (Hardware) service request/fault.

b. Conducting regular audit check to ensure vendor/user comply to Authority's DC policies/processes.

c. Ensuring smooth DC operation such as coordinating with Facility Management (FM) for any M&E matters.

You will be working closely with all levels of IT Infra support team and is expected to operate, excel, maintain and monitor operating systems of the Data Centres (DCs) whenever and whatever support service for the enterprise system. This includes being on 24 x 7 standby for response and scheduled maintenance events.

Job Scope:

Data Centre Operation Management

1. Work with user (with/without vendor support) for any escorting/installation/decommission/replacement of IT Infra equipment hosted inside the Data Centre, ensuring compliance to Authority policies/processes and update relevant inventories accordingly.

2. Carry out periodic checks inside Data Centre, looking out for any:

a. Unreported IT Infra hardware fault

b. Environment issue to be addressed (e.g.: Faulty lighting, item obstructing airflow)

c. Abnormality status of facility system (e.g.: Air-con) and report it to Facility Management (FM)

d. Non-compliance

e. Collect power utilization statistic (if required)

3. Manage, procure and support provision of Data Centre equipment/systems, peripherals, spares, user documentations and technical manuals.

4. Utilise alerting and reporting systems/tools to monitor Data Centre operation and relevant M&E related equipment status (If deemed required by the Authority).

5. Work with Asset Management (AM) to perform asset tagging for IT infra equipment.

Requirements:

- Diploma in Electrical Eng., Computer Eng., Information Technology or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience in system administrator role.

- Basic understanding of Network knowledge and components

- Experience in administrating Linux (Redhat) and Windows Server (2016-2025) OS

- Experience in managing virtualization technologies like VMware server/ESXi

- Relevant DC-related professional certifications, such as EPI Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or Data Centre Certified Associate (DCCA) is a plus.
