General Overview

This position is part of the site Mechanical team that provides technical/maintenance support to the Operation and Project teams in LNG Terminal. He/she would be mainly responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of the Terminal assets from the Mechanical discipline perspective.

The incumbent is also responsible for establishing, reviewing and overseeing the relevant mechanical design elements of new build equipment / asset enhancement activities and implementation of minor mechanical engineering projects, while ensuring the overall mechanical integrity of the terminal.

Roles and ResponsibilIties

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Provide technical/maintenance support and solutions to the terminal operation Teams including supporting the development of maintenance strategy focusing on equipment reliability, compliance, spares inventory requirement, preventive and predictive maintenance programmes and mechanical maintenance procedures for mechanical equipment.
• Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of mechanical static equipment and piping systems.

• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failure and provide recommendations to resolve technical issues which may also arise from vibration, RT, UT, oil and other analysis as part of predictive maintenance programmes
• Manage and maintain historical information on static and rotating equipment such as running hours, data statistical information on all plant shut down and loss of production events caused by mechanical systems, engineering documents and review applicable codes and standards for compliance purpose
• Lead technical discussions, execute and manage project schedules and cost and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, vendors for end of life and improvement project using SLNG Management of Change (MOC) process for mechanical equipment
• Liaise with external stakeholder including government agencies on approval and risk of shutdown of mechanical system that will affect gas-send out
• Participate in RCA, RBI, HAZID, HAZOP, Model Review studies for mechanical packages, co-ordinates and close out Mechanical related issues

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment, rotating machinery and static equipment, preferably in oil/petrochemical or related industries
• Good knowledge and experience working on different types of in-service pipeline inspection. Knowledge of the LNG / natural gas or other hydrocarbon industries an advantage
• Relevant technical experience in maintenance of mechanical/ machinery systems i.e compressor, pump, pressure vessel, hydraulic components and piping system.

Responsibilities:

· Understand the mainstream GPGPU architecture and their design choice

· Using existing ML or HPC background to propose the possible architecture improvements and exploration possibilities

· Can deeply understand the programming model of each architecture and its impacts and influence on eco-system

· Maintain and build the confidence model for both verifying with software tools and profiling the performance so at to understand different architecture design choices

Requirement:

· Bachelor’s with relevant experience in Domain Specific Accelerators/Machine Learning

· Knowledge of different machine learning algorithms (eg: CNN, LSTM, DNN, GNN etc) and their execution model in GPU/CPU; understanding of parallel execution models like SIMD, SIMT etc

· Familiarity with GPGPU (eg: CUDA/OpenCL) programming models is preferred but not mandatory

· Any prior experience in developing simulation-based performance models for domain specific accelerators

· Knowledge in design principles, colour theory and typography

· Knowledge and experience in running user research, ideation workshops and usability tests

· Proficient in C/C++ and scripting languages (Perl/Python)

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to fill research positions in maritime decarbonisation modelling:

1) In the first, Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations of ammonia and methanol engines will be performed, leading to a better understanding of the pollutant-generation processes. In addition to excelling in handling turbulent combustion theory Extensive, experience in combustion CFD is necessary.

2) In the second, systems modelling of alternative fuels and application to real-world data from ship operations will be performed, to compare possible decarbonisation scenarios in view of realistic ship operations. A thorough understanding of lifecycle analysis, energy system modelling, and Techno-economic analysis is needed. The ability to program in languages such as Python programming would be a plus.

What skills will you need?

All positions require a PhD or equivalent research experience in a combustion topic relevant to the above areas, strong motivation to work in a multi-national collaborative team, and extensive experience with report writing, journal publications, and presentations to academic and industrial settings. Connections with industry are part of the project so the researchers will have the opportunity to collaborate with industrial R&D.

We are are looking to hire a Senior/ Systems Programmer to join our MES team working at our client site, a pharmaceutical MNC. The selected candidate will be required to provide consultation and engineering service to the execution phase of the project. He/she will also be involved in the generation and ownership of IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and the GoLive Support.

• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for MES & ERP problems in recipe execution and recipe authoring.
• Liaise with QA to provide approved change control documentation for all MES system changes.
