Furen International School is an International A-level preparatory school situated in Central Singapore. We help our students prepare for the CIE IGCSE and A-level Examinations.
We are currently looking for a Curriculum Manager to assist with curriculum development. Your job scope will include (but not limited to) the following:
1) Assists the Head of Curriculum in areas relating to curriculum planning, assessments, achievement and attainment within the Academic Department for the designated subject by:
- Working on the congruence of curriculum structure, content and student assessment for modules of the designated subject(s) conducted in an academic year
- Taking charge of the subject Curriculum Planning, Development, Review and Evaluation of the designated subject(s) based on FIS primary approach to teaching and learning, to ensure identification and achievement of intended learning outcomes for the designated subject(s)’s modules conducted in an academic year
- Working as part of the curriculum unit for assessment and relevant works, such as developing and monitoring assessment plans and the implementation, to monitor the academic performance of students and curriculum effectiveness for the designated subject(s)
- Working as part of the curriculum unit on planning the baseline deployment of subject teachers based on curriculum and teaching needs in an academic year, for the designated subject(s)
- Preparing/Reviewing/Updating module documents for modules of the designated subject(s) conducted during an academic year
- Managing academic resources of the designated subject(s): planning, selection and procurement of academic resources, such as books, academic equipment, digital tools, etc.
- Working with other school departments/units to update of the academic content of the designated subject(s) in the school’s Learning Management System
- Communicating the curriculum contents and plans to the subject teachers of the designated subject(s) in time
- Monitoring progress of curriculum delivery by subject teachers for the designated subject(s)
- Providing guidance to subject teachers when needed, on curriculum matters
- Taking charge of the academic competitions and contests work of the designated subject(s), such as selecting academic contests and activities, registration,organization and result follow-up.
- Sharing knowledge of latest tools, approaches and technologies in teaching when needed for the designated subject(s)
- Conducting module review practices and preparing module review reports for the designated subject(s)’s modules conducted during an academic year
2) Assists the Head of Curriculum in areas relating to curriculum delivery within the Academic Department by:
· Conducting regular group meetings with subject teachers of the designated subject(s) to track delivery of school curriculum, academic processes and issues and steps to improve teaching and learning of their subjects
- Keeping communication with the subject teachers and collecting feedback from subject teachers of the designated subject(s) on academic curriculum matters.
- Conducting teaching observation when needed
- Conducting analysis of student feedback on academic curriculum matters of the designated subject(s) when needed
- Coordinating the dissemination of relevant and important information to students about the designated subject(s)’s curriculum and processes
3) Ensures academic processes are in adherence with edutrust standards for the designated subjects, when needed
4) Assists in any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by the Management.
Requirements:
i) You will ideally have 3 - 5 years of experience in Curriculum Planning
ii) A bachelor degree in the relevant content subject (Math, Physics, or Chemistry)
