The Company

Join an exciting opportunity with a US MNC in the Technology industry as a Senior Tax Analyst! This position will start off as a 6 months contract with high potential to convert to extend.

The Role

This is a regional role and you will be liaising with stakeholders closely on all tax matters within Asia region. You will review contracts and provide analysis and recommendation to management on indirect tax matters, review GST/VAT calculations, monitor and assess new tax regulations, etc. You are to ensure tax reporting procedures are in compliant to local legislation in each country, identify and research indirect tax issues and present the findings to the management.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in accounting and finance, with CA/CPA certified, and brings with him/her a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a big 4 firm. He/she should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an analytical mindset, are self-driven, and has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Handle a portfolio of client accounting & tax matters.
• Prepare full set of client accounts and financial statements.
• Be responsible for client income tax, GST filings and compliance matters.
• Liaise with auditors to finalise audited accounts
• Handle client management, administration, billings and collections.

Requirement

• Minimum: Diploma in Accounting, ACCA or Accounting Degree.
• Experience in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero will be an added advantage.
• No experience needed for entry level positions as training will be provided.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Have a positive work attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Neat, meticulous & well-organised.
• Have good people handling skills and ability to speak & write Mandarin a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and filing of corporate and property tax returns, payments, reports and maintenance of the Company’s tax database. Monitor and ensure the timely payment of tax liabilities
• Assist in monitoring tax audits and inquiries, including preparing responses and providing necessary documentation
• Gather necessary data for tax provision and compliance purposes from finance and execution teams

Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum Diploma in Finance/Taxation/Accounting
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA, CISA) or an MBA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years in tax, finance, or technology transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on tax transformation and governance.
• Expertise in tax technology platforms (e.g., Vertex, OneSource, Alteryx, ERP systems) with a strong understanding of tax governance frameworks and technical tax principles.
• Ability to develop strategies that bridge tax governance and technology, with foresight into market trends and regulatory changes.
• Proven track record in managing complex, high-stakes projects, with skills in budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
• In-depth knowledge of tax compliance, reporting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and governance-focused solutions to C-suite executives and other stakeholders.
