Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver English language composition writing and English language lessons in accordance with the Company's guidelines and framework to achieve desired learning outcomes.

Disciplinary Duties

• Supervise DS Monday to Friday, after school till 4.30pm;
• Implement, monitor and supervise DS and maintain consistency in process and following up procedures;

• Refer and update HOD/ YH/ SL on potential issues related to pupils and school discipline, based on information & personal observation.
• Conduct follow-up actions with students offenders after investigations conclude such as monitoring and supervising the completion of assignments, on in-house suspension, afterschool detention, etc.
• Daily sign-in/out for students on movement monitoring
• Assist HOD and YH to follow up on frequent absentees,
• Accompany officers on house calls and home visits.
• Assist HOD/SM to liaise with Police/ relevant authorities to verify students’ involvement, and case follow-ups, where needed.

School monitoring

• Work together with other School Management team members and Operations Managers (OM) in ensuring school security and maintaining overall school tone.
• Conduct regular monitoring and foot patrolling within and outside school
• Active monitoring of non-structured school hours where student masses gather such as recess and after school to prevent disruptive behaviours.
• Check on external visitors and liaise with other school officers to attend to visitors’ needs.

Other duties

• Collaborate with relevant HOD/Key Personnel in-charge of School and National examinations, to provide support during the examination period, by:-
• patrolling to ensure conducive environment and school tone
• perform escort duties
• managing students at waiting area during oral examination
• Assist the Physical Education Department during sport / game activities and events in/ outside school.
• Assist in monitoring After School Engagement programmes for at risk pupils (under the GEAR UP Programme).

• SM Data and Records Management during Term Break, Exam Period

• Maintain and upkeep of latecomer data using school data management system, as specified by HOD/SM.

This is a contract position for the period between 01 January 2025 - 31 March 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Curriculum and Instructional Excellence

1. Assist in creating clean, safe and conducive learning environment which promotes student learning and development

2. Assist teachers in preparing and producing learning materials

3. Assist and guide students in carrying out instructions and activities during lessons

4. Cover class when teacher is away on leave or course by delivering the lessons planned by the class teacher

Holistic Student Development

5. Build a strong relationship with students by exhibiting care, concern and encouragement

6. Support teachers in determining individualised goals for each student to enhance their development

7. Assist teachers with data collection to understand student profiles and monitor progress

8. Implement student behavioural plans and support in managing student behaviours under teacher supervision

9. Assist in a CCA to enhance students’ learning experiences

Professional Development

10. Proactively engage in professional development activities to facilitate ongoing knowledge and skills development

REQUIREMENTS

· At least NITEC Certificate or 3 GCE “O” level passes

· A Certificate In Educational Studies is preferred

· Possess basic computer skills

• Plan, supervise and deliver the program in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of Mind Champs.
• Prepare and implement the programs and age-appropriate teaching aids.
• Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address the children's educational and developmental needs individually.
• Complete the progress reports of the children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for every child.
• Communicate with parents via the Connection Book at least once a week, weekly team newsletters and conferences.
• Meet the parents to address any concerns.
• Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
• Guide and supervise the Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
• Render basic first aid as and when necessary.
• Responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.
• Be familiar with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals.
