Key Accountabilities

• Oversee the overall performance of the operations department, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and key results areas (KRAs) while driving operational excellence.
• Safeguard the company's and customers' interests in all operational activities by leveraging expertise in trade compliance.
• Optimize budgets and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in both air and ocean freight operations
• Certified in Dangerous Goods handling and TradeNet declaration
• Relevant industry certifications (eg IATA, FIATA) preferred
• In-depth, practical knowledge of freight forwarding processes, including: Tariff management, Procurement strategies, Customs procedures and filings and International trade compliance
• Proven track record in leadership and team development
• Strong industry network, particularly with air and sea carriers at senior level
• Experience in creating and implementing OPs and SLAs
• Proficient with CCN platform, freight systems (Sysfreight preferred), and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
