Responsibilities:

• Issues Technical Specifications and Manage Piping related packages for EPCC of FPSO Topside projects
• Translates requirements of project/ classification society/ relevant industrial standard / statutory bodies into Technical Specifications for piping related materials, equipment and services to be procured
• Ensures all procurement arrangement & transactions comply with project's commercial, legal and contractual obligation
• Engages in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing suppliers of the same product/system
• Prepares technical bid evaluations to qualify suitable vendors in terms of quality, track record, cost, delivery, responsiveness to meet project's schedule and compliance to all applicable requirements
• Manages and evaluate technical deviation in vendors' proposals
• Contributes to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables (specification documents, reviewed supplier's documentation, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test and validation plans)

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• At least 2 years of piping engineering related working experience or similar activities as described above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, Autodesk Naviswork, Aveva PDMS 3D
• Prefer to have experience in Offshore/Shipyard project, Rig building/Ship building
• Experience in FPSO Topside New Builds projects is highly relevant

• Assist in managing the development and implementation of the company’s solutions and applications.

Management Reporting

• Ownership of reporting suites for Santen Asia. Managing and consolidating reports in monthly /quarterly /yearly cycles. Responsible for commentary to assist commercial teams to get insight of the reporting cycles
• Implement and drive monthly financial review process at country level and champion its standardization
• Perform monthly forecast, annual budgeting, analyze data, variance analysis, consolidate commentaries for actuals and forecasts, support monthly reviews and provide valuable input for decision making

Project Management

The Technical Sales Engineer will develop and implement effective solution-selling strategies at all levels within assigned industries and locations. He/She will be responsible for driving sales, building and maintaining customer relationships, and providing technical support and expertise related to battery specifications and applications.

Role Responsibilities/Learning Outcome:

1) Sales and Business Development:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and sales channels for battery products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
• Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

2) Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of battery specifications, including Vanadium and other battery technologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on product selection, application, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential and existing clients.

3) Customer Relationship Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Develop and deliver proposals, quotations, and contracts that meet customer requirements and company standards.
• Follow up on sales leads and opportunities to convert them into sales.

4) Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and its products.

5) Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Ensure all sales processes and documentation are compliant with company policies and industry regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with design & manufacturing knowledge
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in selling battery solutions or related electrical products.
• Strong understanding of battery technologies, specifications, and applications
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• A strong propensity for teamwork, excellent communication skills, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Preferably fluent with Mandarin speaking to communicate with our various stakeholders.
• Good skills in communication and comfortable in working with the cross functional team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the renewable energy sector or related industries.
• Knowledge of energy storage systems and their applications in various markets.

• Good understanding of core banking and treasury products and data requirement for management accounting or regulatory reporting
• Good understanding in SDLC phases
