Brief Job Description
• Provide technical support, propose solutions, and project related queries for all Wired, Wireless network.
• Perform analysis, Plan, Coordinate and Implement all change requests on existing network equipment.
• Maintain records of system details (e.g. configuration, changes, problems, disaster recovery document) for network equipment.
• Manage firewalls like Checkpoint, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto and NEXUS switches; F5 Load balancer
- Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level.
- Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.

Job Description

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and streamlining operational workflows to support Project WATT. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will ensure seamless integration between hardware, software, and operational systems, enabling the successful achievement of project objectives.

Your role focuses on ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of technical systems. Unlike the Operation Manager, who oversees resource allocation and process efficiency, or the Firmware Engineer, who specializes in hardware-software interactions, you will bridge technical infrastructure with business and operational needs. By driving system optimization and cross-functional collaboration, you will play a pivotal role in supporting robust and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• System Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain technical systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and resource efficiency.
• Dashboard Administration: Oversee WATT’s dashboard system, ensuring accurate data visualization, reporting, and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
• EVCO Reporting and Compliance: Manage technical aspects of EVCO reporting and ensure all system-related operations comply with regulatory and safety standards.
• System Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system health and performance, implementing proactive measures to enhance stability and prevent disruptions.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system-level issues, coordinating with Firmware, Integration, and QA teams to address root causes and implement fixes.
• Workflow Documentation: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system workflows, ensuring consistency and efficiency in system operations.
• Collaboration with Operational Teams: Work closely with the Operation Manager and other stakeholders to align technical systems with business and operational needs.
• System Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies, proposing and implementing system upgrades or optimizations to support evolving project requirements.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in system operations, infrastructure management, or EV/IoT industries will be given priority.
• Proven expertise in system architecture, configuration, and maintenance, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Familiarity with dashboard systems, EVCO reporting, and regulatory compliance processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in system monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques, with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong organizational skills, with experience documenting workflows and standard procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across technical and operational teams.
• A proactive mindset and problem-solving orientation, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

· From abstract product vision all the way to detailed functional requirements, system integration, and business processes required to support them.

· Translate the high-level product vision and initiatives into tangible, detailed requirements for developers. This can be in the form of technical documentation, systems integration documentation, API specifications, data models, architecture diagrams, process flows, or functional specifications.

· Support developers and testers by providing the first level of clarifications during development and testing.

· Define detailed user stories based on business requirements. Ensure that user stories have sufficient details so that developers are able to estimate and work with them.

· Define detailed business processes, spanning both online and offline aspects. Coordinate with various stakeholders to get detailed requirements and ensure that they are met through proposed solutions.

· Create and extend existing technical documentation to describe the infrastructure, security, functions of the system.

Requirements:

· Strong API experience with hands on dev exp in Java

· Experience in Data Modelling and DB design (Oracle, MS SQL Server and Postgres )

· Ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed documentation within the organisation’s context.

· Familiarity with Visual studio and Swagger plugin to create YAML files.

· Ability to evaluate and analyse existing business processes and uncover areas for improvements.

· Ability to envision and design end to end business processes while keeping an eye on the details.

· Ability to gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful documentation.

· Ability to communicate and clarify requirements with developers and identify and clearly document dependencies.

· Mandatory experience in SAP BOBJ Business Intelligence reporting tools.

· Experience in: Salesforce, MS PowerApps, MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, Crystal Reports, Swagger, JMeter, Payment Gateways (e.g., Cybersource), Microservices, Message Brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ & Apache Kafka) and Integration Tools (e.g., SAP PO, Salesforce Data Loader, MuleSoft)
