Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper risk assessment is in place to provide a safe working environment for workforce by periodically reviewing risks and hazards associated to workplace, executing control measures and communicate effectively to workforce.
• Respond to technical queries from subordinates to account for timely project completion by consulting relevant parties such as mould loft and engineering department for practical solution.
• Monitor quality of welding and NDT completion on end products to prevent carry over work to next station by preforming on site checks and reviewing NDT records.
• Set daily targets for workforce to achieve to account for timely project completion by monitoring daily output and conducting daily reviews of the results.
• Study production drawings to spot possible mistakes or possible fabrication issues to ensure production schedule can be met without unexpected delays by detailed discussion and review of drawings with technical staffs.
• Prepare weekly report on progress and KPI to ensure project progress in on track by monitoring block status and compiling production progress data from site.
• Identify bottlenecks to ensure no unexpected delays to project progress by conducting meetings with subordinates, analyzing weekly reports and formulate optimal production flows for any issues identified.
• Review manpower allocation and effectiveness to ensure project progress is on track by analyzing daily and weekly KPI against progress, discussing with managers should additional manpower or reallocation of manpower is needed.
• Performs supervision on site to ensure fabrication work have been safely executed accordingly to drawings and quality requirements to account for timely project completion by checks on the floor, communicating and getting feedback from workforce.
• Identify the production capacity and plan station schedule to ensure accordance to sequence by comparing to hullshop master schedule and hullshop historical productivity data.
• Set the KPI and manpower allocation for each station to achieve required schedule by analyzing workforce and facilities capabilities and historical date and previous projects.
• Study project requirements, identify any gap that exists with current hullshop practices and propose recommendations to close the gaps to ensure no unexpected delays to project schedule by conducting reviews and meetings with QA and QC personnel.
• Ensure Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) in place so that work can be performed according to project requirements by communicating SOP's to workforce.
• Determine block fabrication sequence to ensure most effective way to fabricate blocks by analyzing drawing and 3D model and holding discussion with production and mould loft team.
• Ensure proper lifting plan is available for blocks to account for safe block lifting by advising engineering lifting team on block fabrication method in advance.
• Review subordinates competency to ensure effectiveness in performing work by analyzing productivity data, non conformance received and feedback from QA, QC and clients.
• Take active role in Incident Investigation to find root cause and proper preventive measures are implemented by conducting interviews with injured person(s) and witnesses, analyzing accident scenes and other investigative processes together with HSE Team.
• Propose training required by workforce to prevent shortfall in certain roles by compiling workforce skills and comparing with production requirements.
• Participate in Safety Innovation Programs by actively contributing to department Safety Innovation Team

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a leading role in designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure, ensuring that it supports the advanced analytics need of the bank. You will oversee a team of data engineers, working closely with data analysts, DevOps team, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solution.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop, and implement Spark Scala applications and data processing pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Integrate Elasticsearch with Spark to enable efficient indexing, querying, and retrieval of data.
• Optimize and tune Spark jobs for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data processing and indexing in Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
• Design and deploy data engineering solutions on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) using containerization and orchestration techniques.
• Optimize data engineering workflows for containerized deployment and efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes, implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure platform stability.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary enhancements.
• Implement monitoring and logging mechanisms to ensure the health, availability, and performance of the data infrastructure.
• Document data engineering processes, workflows, and infrastructure configurations for knowledge sharing and reference.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering and DevOps.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation to the continuous improvement of the analytics capabilities within the bank.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, working with Hadoop, Spark, and data processing technologies in large-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing data infrastructure using Hadoop, Spark, and related tools (HDFS, Hive, Ranger, etc)
• Experience with containerization platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Spark, Python, Scala, or Java.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, BitBucket)
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk will be an added benefit
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.

RESPONSIBILITY
· Plan and allocate tools, material and manpower for fabrication;
· Ensure that all the technical reviews by engineering team comply with project requirements;
· Coordinate all technical queries with related parties – engineering team, client, vendor etc;
· Assist Project Manager in streamlining work processes;
· Coordinator with team to review all subcontract and supplier shop drawing, product data, samples,
manuals etc for all compliance with contract documents;
· Manage vendor documents for all equipment;
· Monitor and ensure all the vendor equipment delivery are on time, including checks on inspection status and requirement;
· Prepare tender submission, cost estimation and project change request;

REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities

• Serves as a subject matter expert in E&I equipment failures and ensures the reliability of those equipments.
• Provides technical expertise to plant personnel (Supervisors and technicians) on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and ensuring E&I equipment meets the design intent.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot critical and major plant issues related to E&I, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify solutions, and drive continuous plant improvement initiatives while managing costs effectively.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller / SIS), with a strong emphasis on experience with Allan Bradley PLCs.
• Provide expertise in maintaining electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, MV/LV switchboards, Fire alarm and CCTV systems.
• Mentor technicians in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards.
• Supports Team Lead in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.

Job Description

• Develop detailed designs, layouts, and specifications for piping systems, ensure proper pipe support design based on piping loads, thermal expansion, and seismic considerations.
• Identify appropriate materials, ensure material compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and standards such as ASME, ANSI, and local regulations.
