Job Requirement

1. The RTO shall be accredited by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) or the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).

2. The RTO shall possess relevant work experience in the supervision of LTA Roads, Viaducts/Bridge, Bus Depot, A&A works, and CAG/PUB.

3. Working Location: CAG, PUB, and LTA Projects, Singapore.

Job Description

1. The RTO Shall supervise all civil, structural including structural elements for Bridge / Viaducts, Roads, and specialist engineering works for compliance with the LTA’s requirements and other authorities’ and agencies’ requirements for permanent works and temporary works.

2. The RTO shall be independent and energetic to perform permanent shift work and project management work.

3. The RTO shall be competent with all necessary Ministry of Manpower WS requirements e.g. Work-At- Height (WAH), Lifting work, Permit-To-Work (PTW), etc.

4. Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint, and maintaining of proper daily work progress record.

Responsibilities

.1 Accountable to Fleet Manager.

.2 As a Fleet Member, he shall assist FM in implementing Fleet Management System. He shall with his best endeavour to advise FM in relation to performance of the assigned vessels.

.3 Ensure that the vessels under his supervision have on board all the required valid statutory, class and other trading certificates.

.4 Ensure that the vessels under his supervision are manned according to Safe Manning Certificate and that all crew have valid documents required by STCW and flag state.

.5 In co-ordination with the Master and the Chief Engineer, to prepare a PLANNED MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME for submission to the GM at the beginning of the year for the LONG TERM STRATEGIC MAINTENANCE PLANNING.

.6 Monitor the maintenance routines of the vessels under his supervision and ensure that maintenance, inspections and testing are carried out as planned and are not left overdue.

.7 Carefully scrutinise all SPARES AND STORES REQUISITIONS from the vessel before approval for quotations and ordering.

.8 Ensure that the vessel submits technical and other reports in a timely manner.

.9 Review all technical reports submitted and take actions for any non-conformance or below par performance.

.10 Review the vessel's performance in terms of speed, fuel and lub oil consumption and take corrective actions in time.

.11 Study the fuel oil and lube oil analysis reports and advice the vessel of the action to be taken.

.12 To review the budget v/s actual performance of the ships under his care and take corrective measures by way of controlling expenditure, and if the situation demands, submit a proposal for the revision of the budget and approach the management with the appropriate data.

.13 To prepare and submit a quarterly report for customers on the vessels under his care and should cover at least the following:

a) Vessel’s Routing

b) Vessel's Condition

c) Survey and Certificates Status

d) Crew and Personnel Matters

e) Off-hires, if any

f) Accounts (Budget vs. Actual)

g) Class Status Report

h) Photos

.16 Preparation of dry-docking specifications, making a comparative chart of quotations received from various yards and obtaining the Management or Owner's approval.

.17 Visit the vessels at appropriate intervals as per approved ship visit plan and inspect them as per the procedures laid down.

.18 Carry out any additional work assigned by the FM.

.19 Apart from their technical responsibilities, a Technical Superintendent is required to ensure that he is familiar with all the commercial aspects and other commercial related details of his vessels, such as:

a. Relevant clauses of Charter Party such as speed and consumptions, cargo exclusion and others;

b. Contents of Charterer’s voyage instructions such as tendering NOR, clausing B/Ls and Mate’s Receipts, cargo holds cleanliness, Stevedore’s damage reporting and others;

c. Reporting requirements from Charterer or Sub-Charterer;

d. Arranging pre-loading surveys for certain cargoes;

e. Lodging sea protests;

f. Handling protests from shippers, receivers and Charterers;

g. Lodging insurance claims, collecting evidence and following up until closure;

h. Pre-arrival reports required by various port states such as eNOA/D, ballast watr exchange reporting and others;

Authorities

.1 Move to Fleet Manager

.2 Review and Approve spares and stores for any given requisition as per OPM 9, purchasing and supplies procedures..

.3 Recommend the promotions or repatriations of crewmembers on his assigned-vessel.

.4 Sanction spares and stores for the vessels under his care.

.5 Approval of bills for spares, stores and repairs.

.6 Approval of the DRYDOCKING bills after due clearance from the MD

.7 Approval of orders for emergency stores and provisions for the vessels.

.8 Appraise shipboard senior staff & feedback to the Fleet Manager.

.9 Other roles and responsibilities delegated by Fleet Manager.

As an advisory and consultation expert, the role involves providing comprehensive technical guidance on GenAI feasibility and implementation strategies. The position requires delivering expert consultation on best practices for SAP GenAI model training and fine-tuning, also offering strategic advice on security measures, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.

A critical aspect of this position involves leading pre-sales activities and client engagements. This includes crafting technical proposals, conducting solution demonstrations, and articulating the value proposition of SAP GenAI solutions to potential clients.

The candidate should possess at least 12 - 15 years of SAP technical experience, including a minimum of 4 - 6 years of hands-on SAP BTP expertise. They must have a deep understanding of SAP's GenAI strategy and Joule capabilities, backed by substantial experience in cloud-native development and microservices architecture. Proficiency in API design and REST-based architectures is essential, along with machine learning and AI concepts. A comprehensive understanding of large language models and their practical applications is crucial for this position.

The successful candidate should have a demonstrated track record of implementing SAP BTP solutions, including specific experience with GenAI implementations or proofs of concept (POC). Their background should encompass solution architecture and technical leadership roles, with a history of successfully delivering enterprise-scale SAP implementations. Additionally, they should possess strong mentoring capabilities and experience in leading technical teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and team development across the organization.

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Design and architect enterprise-scale solutions leveraging SAP BTP, focusing on GenAI integration
• Lead the technical implementation of SAP's Joule and other GenAI capabilities within the BTP landscape
• Develop solution architecture documents incorporating GenAI components, including integration patterns and data flows
• Provide technical governance and best practices for GenAI implementations
• Guide development teams on SAP BTP service utilization and GenAI implementation patterns

GenAI Expertise

• Drive solutions using SAP's Generative AI capabilities, including Joule integration
• Design conversational AI solutions using SAP BTP services
• Implement intelligent document processing solutions using GenAI capabilities
• Develop custom GenAI solutions using SAP BTP AI Foundation
• Optimize large language model implementations within SAP ecosystem

BTP Core Competencies

As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for both functional and technical aspects of application/ platforms. You will work closely with solution architects, development leads, developers, product managers and other stakeholders to translate complex technical information into clear, concise and structure documentation. Your role will involve ensuring that documentation meets the needs of both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting solutioning, integration, ops and app/platform design discussion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, organise and maintain functional and technical documentation for platform, including architectural, functional flows, data flows, data/entity, micro services, etc.
• Collaborate with solution architects, development leads, developers, and other stakeholders to drive documentation discussion.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of documentation.
• Create and maintain templates and documentation standards to ensure consistency across projects and teams.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of documentation based on changes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all documentation aligns with the platform documentation.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer between development teams, business units, and end-users through detailed documentation

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Business Analyst, or a related role, with a focus on creating both technical and functional documentation.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into easily understandable documents for various audiences.
• Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, Excel or similar platforms
• Knowledge of software systems, APIs, databases, and enterprise architectures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
