• Arrange and coordinate with assigned vessels, class surveyors, auditors to arrange statutory & class surveys/annual DP trials, and compliance with international regulations, flag state, and company standards.
• Technical and Management reports including vessel performance scorecards, KPI’s and others as required by the clients.

Requirements:

• Diploma and above in Maritime Studies or in a relevant discipline
• Has previous experience managing OSV (AHTS, PSV etc.) and Subsea vessels is a must
• Possessing a Marine Engineer Class 1, 2 would be an added advantage

The Technical Manager provides technical support and advice to customers and the service team in the region. They work closely with sales, service teams, and customers on training, troubleshooting, maintenance, warranty, and special projects. They proactively engage with customers on pre-sales and post-sales technical queries to assist the sales team in generating revenue. They serve as the primary contact for customers in technical and field service matters, working to resolve their problems. They coordinate closely with the General Manager-Service to efficiently manage service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide technical support solutions during installation, repair, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
• Product Performance Assessment: Assess product/equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with technical superintendents, owners’ representatives, technical directors, and shipyard personnel.
• Service and Repair Advice: Recommend and advise customers on service and repair matters to support reliable and safe equipment operation.
• Vessel Support: Provide technical solutions to enable safe, continued operation of vessels.
• Technical Report Preparation: Prepare critical technical reports for service/warranty jobs and future submissions.
• Repair Shop Involvement: Participate in repair shop facility matters and maintain professional repair work.
• Outsourcing Management: Review, recommend, and manage outsourcing of repair jobs.
• Skill Development: Learn new skills to become self-sufficient and provide advice for routine repair and service tasks.
• Task Completion: Follow up to complete tasks assigned by the General Manager-Service.

Job Description:

• Carry out site supervision duties in accordance with the Building Control Act.
• Ensure works are done appropriately following the approved drawings.
• Assist the Resident Engineer on all site and/or construction related matters.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising electrical works.
• A person with good communication skills and with ability to work in a team.

Job Objective:

Monitors and controls the safe and cost-efficient technical operation of all assigned vessels using the available resources, within the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability, and operational excellence in line with Owners' expectations. Ship technical support

• Understands the contractual agreements with customers to be able to deliver the same with regards to the ship management services for each assigned vessel, in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
• Keeps close contact with clients, maintains good working relationships with client representatives who are involved in the operations of the company's vessels
• Provides technical and operational support to assigned vessels

Safety of Operations

• Monitors the effective operation of the equipment and machinery of the assigned vessels, identifying potential discrepancies from operational standards and proposes and/or implements solutions that will enhance the efficiency, performance and safety of the vessels.
• Participates in the development of the maintenance and repairs plan for the assigned vessels and monitors its accurate execution
• Arranges and executes Drydock activities at regular intervals
• Develops, maintains, monitors and reports budgets for all assigned vessels
• Monitors all vessels trading certificates to ensure compliance with existing maritime legislation, safety regulations and operational standard requirements of all regulatory bodies.

Execution of technical inspections / internal audits

• Manages all vessel visits, audits and inspections effectively right from planning to implementation and follow up with the aim of supporting and enhancing the operational efficiency of the assigned vessels.
• Responsible for communication, promotion and implementation of company's health, safety, environment and quality policy on board the vessels related to technical.
• In liaison with Loss Prevention, Safety and Quality (LPSQ) and Fleet Personnel Department (FPD), assists and supports sea staff with alignment of technical requirements.
• Assists with the Company initiatives regarding the human element

Purchasing activities

• Ensures ship requisitions are handled timely and as per Quality Document Management System (QDMS) procedures.

Management of resources

• Coach, engage, motivate, mentor employees to develop their strengths and build their capabilities as per their defined roles and personal goal
• Identifies training needs and provides on board training to ship staff during ship visits.
• Active involvement in the continual improvement process of the Company Management System to maintain compliance with customer requirements, expectations as well as international / national regulations.

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or
• Chief Engineer’s qualification

Work Experience:

• 3 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or
• 3 years of shore experience as a technical superintendent with a ship management/owning company
• Experience on Ethylene Carriers.
