RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● The development and coordination of all electronic, micro-electronic, PCB hardware and software activities for the company, in line with company plans and objectives.
● Lead the electronics development effort by contributing to the technical deliverables.
● Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes - determining the most effective means of meeting manufacturing/divisional goals (safety, yield, quality, delivery, productivity) to drive process improvements.
●Manage, develop and handle development and test engineering tasks
●Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
● Design testing methods to analyse product capabilities and troubleshoot relevant engineering issues.
●Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
●Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
● Work on product-sustaining projects, which involve replacement or redesign for obsolete components, product improvement features, cost reduction, manufacturing support, and field complaints.
● Help create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
● Work closely with other engineers and supply chain partners to ensure compliance with requirements.
● Manage design control documentation and file patents, etc.
● Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure adherence to required standards (i.e. ISO 13485, 14971, 60601) and to maintain the quality management system.
●Generation of project documentation in line with ISO13485 and other medical device regulatory requirements.
● Work closely with the clinical team to submit ethics/MHRA/FDA applications and coordinate clinical trials according to company timelines.
● Work closely with the finance team to support grant applications, grant management, fundraising, budget management and other similar activities.
●Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
●Forecast operating costs for the electronics department and contribute to yearly budget forecasting and business cost planning.
●Generation of weekly electronics project update reports for peer review.
●Implement and maintain the highest possible levels of personal and team safety, led by example and previous lessons learned.
●Coaching and supervising colleagues as and when needed.
●Contribute heavily to intellectual property generation.
●Contribute heavily to innovation, next generation development.
●International travel as needs be.

●Ability to speak and write in English, and function as part of a global team whose language of communication is English.
●Familiarity in leading teams with digital collaboration systems.
●Experience with managing employees virtually, and internationally.
●Excellent interpersonal and team skills to provide guidance to other staff.
●Ability to focus team and partners to meet company deadlines.
●Exceptional management, organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
● Experience with quality management
