Purpose of Position

• Provide maintenance and engineering support for process control systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant.

Job Description

HMT LLC has an open position for a Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer, the primary owner of designated Engineering projects, responsible for executing projects according to customer’s specifications and being a key point of communication between the Engineering team and our Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Construction teams as required. The Mechanical Equipment Design Engineer is to be a well-rounded individual able to balance Engineering Design with effective communication.

Job Type:

• Full-time in-office Monday-Friday

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field (master’s degree preferred)
• Effectively communicate in English technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences (written and spoken)
• API 650 work experience (4+ years) with floating roof design knowledge preferred
• Design experience (4+ years) of sealing systems for floating roofs within the oil and gas industry
• Strong drafting ability with proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and experience in Inventor and Vault software

Responsibilities:

• Work with international Engineering teams to execute assigned projects
• Represent Engineering professionally with internal and external customers
• Effectively manage and take ownership of assigned Engineering projects, including creating schedules, budgets, drawing packages, and calculation reports
• Communicate all project updates, including scope, schedules, and costs within the Engineering team and with associated Project Managers
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Installation personnel and support

Responsibilities:

• To have a role in VSAT product development team that participates in designing of LNA and Power Amplifier.
• Operating up to Ka band frequencies, the Up/Down Converter facilitates communication as part of its functionality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Communication Engineering or equivalents.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in any RF systems.
• Experience in RF circuit design (LNA, PA, Up/Down Converter, Synthesizer).
• Experience in using simulation software.
• Experience in VSAT system or subsystem design.
