Key Accountabilities:

• Undertake independently the commissioning, installation, maintenance and repair/overhaul of MTU products and its associated equipment at MTU workshop or at site in accordance with MTU manuals and/or specific given instructions.
• Capable in resolving the technical matters and completing the services according to the works order and to the acceptance of the Customers and Supervisors, thereafter, provide the service/investigation reports where applicable.

Responsibilities

Provide Leadership to the Electrical engineering team to comply with project requirements and to meet project schedules.
Lead and prepare overall concept.
Lead, prepare, & review Request for Quotations (RFQs) and specifications. Lead EPC tender as the lead for Electrical.
Review technical proposals from OEMs to ensure compliance to our design requirement.
Plan & Manage the Electrical Master document List.
Plan & Manage manpower loading.
Review cable routing, BOQ, lead engineers and drafters.

Lead the engineering design of the following activities:
Design of 230kV, 66kV, 6.6kV & LV power supply system including; Sizing of Power Generation System, transformer, UPS & DC systems.
Articulate the overall Single Line
Understand & explain Power system Analysis by ETAP
Understand & explain Protection coordination
Calculate Cable Size
Understand & explain HV, MV and LV distribution & motor starter system
Understand & explain UPS & DC system
Understand & explain Solar generation system
Understand & explain Power Management System
Plan & coordinate Electrical Room layout
Understand, explain, plan & coordinate Cable and Busduct Management System

Familiar to the following Equipment and System;
Steam/Gas turbine generator
EDG (Emergency diesel generator)
GCB/TCB/UCB
GSUT/UAT/AT
MV/LV VSDs
IPBD/SBPD/LV Busduct
HV/MV/LV Switchgear and MCC
Civil interface for switchboard installation, pull pit and penetration.

Requirements

At least 10 years of relevant experience as Leader or Senior Electrical Engineer in EPC project for Power, Petrochemical and/or Waste-to-Energy plants
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Strong background in EPC projects Strong leadership & people management
Familiar with industrial standard, e.g, ISO, IEEE, and etc. and Singapore standard, e.g SS638
Familiar with statutory Regulation or Code, like Singapore transmission code. etc.
Able to work in collaboration with various disciplines
Able to interface seamlessly with engineering, construction, and operations contractors

Able to work on-site in construction environment

Independently deals with regulatory authority, class, vendors and clients with regards to comments or queries on commissioning deliverables and develops technical/engineering solutions to the issues raised.

Participates in meetings with the project team to review progress and addresses interface/implementation/execution issues where necessary based on the standard procedures, practices and lessons learnt from past projects to ensure that the project proceeds timely and smoothly.

Perform duties as per directives of reporting authority.

Leads site execution team on performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities planned for the Instrumentation & Control systems, managing the interfaces with Construction and Pre-Operations teams, ensuring adherence to yard

• Plan, execute, monitor and control works program and activities for projects.
• Manage the project site by overseeing day to day running of all matters related to the construction of the project and leading the project site team in day operation.
• Monitoring of project budget
• Attend progress meeting and liaise with consultants, main contarctors, clients and relevant authorities.
• Attend regular site meeting
• Supervise and monitor the site labour force and the work of subcontractors
• Resolve any or other site related technical problems encountered
• Report to management on the project progress report
• Perform site coordination with site manager,operation and supervisor
• Review and approve Risk Assessment for project
• Co-ordinate safety meeting
• Identify work risk together with operation manager, site manager and site personnel
• Oversee quality control, safety and healthy matters on the site
• Planning, implementing and monitoring the work schedule with the required workforce according to the master and detailed work programmes.
