Key Responsibility

The Project Proposal Engineer plays a pivotal role in achieving project objectives within defined time and cost frameworks while ensuring full delivery scope and quality. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, project management, and customer-focused activities to support and drive sales. As a crucial link between the technical and commercial aspects of projects, the Project Proposal Engineer ensures customer satisfaction and successful handover to the Project Execution team.

This role will be based in Singapore, is part of the Sales Department ( Internal Sales Team ) and reports to the Customer Experience Manager.

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

Collaborative Sales Approach

• Partner closely with all stakeholders to serve customers effectively and meet team sales targets.

Proposal & Quotation Preparation

• Analyze requests for proposals to understand project scope, technical requirements, and customer expectations.
• Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies in proposals.
• Ensure proposals adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations.
• Utilize CEP and SAP systems to prepare accurate costings, quotations, and proposals for E+H products, services, and third-party packages.

Customer Engagement and Technical Assistance

• Summarize customer specifications and create a Deviation/Clarification list.
• Participate in technical clarification meetings with customers, clarifying E+H proposed deviations.
• Handle inquiries via various communication channels, provide technical assistance and advice, follow up on quotations, negotiate terms, close orders, and maintain customer relationships.

Cross-Department Coordination

• Work with Sales teams, Service, Finance and Supply Chain departments to gather necessary input for quotations and proposals.

Order Processing and Verification

• Verify customer Purchase Orders, convert quotations into sales orders, and process orders using the SAP system.

Customer Service and Problem Resolution

• Deliver exceptional customer service, build strong relationships, resolve problems, and address complaints effectively.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform any other tasks required by the Company to support its business strategy.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Control/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ experience in Instrumentation and Automation/Control Engineering
• Relevant Technical knowledge (Would be an advantage)
• Strong project management skills (PMP certification would be an advantage)
• Proven track records and experience with project proposal
• Enthusiastic, dynamic, and customer-oriented personality
• Systematic and meticulous
• Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• Plan & Monitor the design process.
• Maintain design documents and drawings.
• Coordinate electrical activities to meet project requirement
• Establish control standards and procedures to monitor the performance of electrical generating and distribution systems, motors and equipment

Requirements

• Knowledge on designing in 3D layout will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral skills) is a MUST and ability to converse in Mandarin will be an advantage.

• Assist in maintaining company Integrated Management System (IMS - ISO 9001, 14001 & 13485 requirements).
