• Assist Resident Engineer in daily close supervision and coordination duties

Job Title: Level 1 Support Technician

Purpose of the Role

The Level 1 Support Team provides critical front-line support across all aspects of infrastructure. Working as part of a global team, they are responsible for:

This is a hybrid position. The role holder will participate in a shift rotation, working 5 days a week, covering the hours of 07:30 – 16:30 from Monday to Sunday (including at least one weekend day per week).

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate, Drive & Lead Application Infrastructure Team Onshore / Offshore to deliver the Approved Infrastructure solution designed.
• Work with Enterprise solution architect to design solutions and align to enterprise needs and implement.
• Manage all activities end-to-end to deliver the project (from scoping to implementation) to agreed parameters.
• Ensure the deliveries are adhered to standards and processes related to infra setup, application deployment.
• To mentor team to Adhere Bank Policies and follow best practices related to Application Recommended for Infra Parameters.
• Perform the Scrum Master role (where required) and lead the Agile team in their sprint deliveries.
• Collaborate with project team members from various domains to monitor, develop and execute project plans and associated project content.
• Ability to manage multiple work-streams concurrently and effectively resolve issues or conflicts.
• Good communication skills, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management.
• Adhere to organizational guidelines and process during deliver.
• Actively monitor and report progress to all stakeholders in a timely manner by using a variety of formal communication channels.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6-9 years of experience and out of which, minimum 5+ years of Production Management experience in CORE Banking.
• Managed Finacle 10.x/11.x and multi-countries and OPEN systems production environment.
• Finacle Application environment servers run in combination of IBM AIX, VPC, OpenShift. We need the candidate to have good knowledge in various cloud technology to support the infrastructure for Optimization.
• Hands-on Experience in Finacle Application (Core Banking) Server Capacity Monitoring and Optimization.
• Good level of command over production Infra; performance monitoring and reporting tools.
• Good working experience in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Grafana/Kibana, AppDynamics etc.
• Ideal hands-on experience in Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting.
• Good Hands-on experience in PAAS (Platform as a Service) and not limited to AWS, Pivotal, OpenShift.
• Sound knowledge on CI/CD tools, flow mechanism other supporting tools with project implementation experience.
• Knowledge on API Message, Queue handling and Caching Techniques most likely on Kafka and Redis.
• Working Experience on any microservice platform mostly in Banking.
• Ideally Site Reliability Engineering principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, alerting in Production environment.

• Ability to work with stakeholders to stretch role in depth/width.
• Should be well-versed with latest Finacle and technology trends.

POSITION SUMMARY

Involves the completion of administrative and/or operational tasks relating to the front-line operation which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, dispatch activities and local customer service.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the completion of defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards. Identifies anomalies as they arise and uses judgement based on rules and procedures to resolve. For complex issues, may escalate to senior team members.
• Performs defined procedures and processes with accuracy and completeness. Ensures time commitments and deadlines are met. Processes may include use of manual procedures or local or regional systems. Verifies data and completes procedural checks against predefined processes or criteria to ensure accuracy and quality. Uses appropriate tools and equipment as required. May make decisions relating to procedural checks, including situations where the outcome is not clearly indicated. Seeks support of senior team members as required. Provides feedback on processes and procedures proactively, making recommendations for continuous improvement to senior team members.
• Investigates and resolves problems or exception situations using systems or equipment, as appropriate. May act as the focal point for specific types of resolutions within the department and across other teams. Makes decisions based on clearly defined criteria and escalates others as appropriate to senior members. As required, evaluates options, escalates and gains approval for solutions that are outside of established parameters. Supports implementation of corrective actions.
• Uses appropriate communication methods to understand and share information with customers, team members including vendor staffs and other departments. Supports team members and other departments during process changes including participating in the development of appropriate Job Aids, procedures & on-the-job training materials. May deliver required training in accordance with defined standards.

Prepares reports as required and may include recommendations for areas of improvement. Inputs data to company systems. Ensures accuracy of own and others’ data and completes checks of system to ensure data integrity is maintained.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with defined FedEx processes and procedures, relevant legislation and external regulations, and predefined agreements. Ensures required approvals are sought throughout processes. Notifies management of any non-compliance issues as they arise.
• Works closely with customer, team including vendor staffs and other departments to ensure accuracy of information and completion of processes to deadline. Also includes contact with customers, vendors or employees, to investigate or resolve issues as required. Aligns and gains commitment to actions from the different stakeholders.
