The APAC Education Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing educational initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong event management skills and the ability to coordinate complex logistics. The ideal candidate is also an effective communicator, fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin, to collaborate closely with stakeholders, especially as the primary host is based in China.

• Orchestrate Educational Events: Plan and execute webinars, conferences, and training sessions, managing every detail—from participant registration to logistics like travel and accommodation for international speakers.
• Run Virtual Events Like a Pro: Handle technical setups, live support, and participant coordination to ensure seamless webinars and online experiences.
• Simplify Research: Analyze and summarize scientific papers into clear, actionable insights for bi-monthly reports.
• Collaborate Region-Wide: Work closely with stakeholders across APAC, aligning content with regional needs while coordinating with a key host based in China.
• Drive Improvement: Gather feedback to evaluate the success of programs and refine future initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with the ability to converse in both English and Mandarin (Mandarin fluency is required for collaboration with China-based stakeholders).
• Experience in event management, including virtual and in-person logistics.
• The ability to interpret scientific research and make it accessible to diverse audiences.
• Ability to review and interpret scientific research, particularly clinical studies, and summarize key insights.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with stakeholders across different regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely verification of each day’s surgery charges for patients and ensure all charges are properly interfaced to the billing system and are accurate and free from errors
• Follow up with vendors, nursing, clinicians, or other disciplines’ colleagues for any charging issues
• Follow up with patients or business office for billing issues
• End-to-end process for purchases, including but not limited to obtaining quotation, raising purchase requests, arranging delivery, processing invoices and delivery orders for billing
• Tracking consumption rates, contract balance values, and working with vendors, nurses and other operations colleagues for projection, top up or extension of Purchase Orders
• Requisite, control and maintain utilization of office supplies in the assigned area
• Assist nursing on their daily staff roster and to prepare OT final list for the Nurse Manager in-charge
• Issue of lockers and resetting unused lockers in staff change room
• Assist with the review and update of Standard Operating Procedures where applicable
• Collate statistics/reports required by the department for purposes of cost containment or process improvements
• Manpower management, including roster and leave planning for team members
