Your role

Our major Oil and Gas Downstream Client is looking for General Support Services/Logistics Coordinator who will oversee and execute the logistics operations at site during Turnaround (TA) to ensure they are executed safely and effectively. You will coordinate inputs from the multi-disciplinary leads to ensure their logistics needs are planned and met. You will also develop and implement the Logistics Plan for an assigned turnaround.

You will work with the TA team to set up and manage temporary facilities for the assigned turnaround to meet TA timeline requirements as well as perform cost estimates for TA logistics costs. You will working with staff and contractors to ensure their transport arrangements (buses, pick-ups, lorries) are in place and operating efficiently during TA.

In addition, you will provide scope for the logistics contracts and work with the CP focal point to ensure contracts are set up and activated as per TA timescale. You will need to be familiar with TA contracting strategy and how TA logistics activities impact the overall TA cost and schedule. You will raise MOCs for temporary facilities such as electrical power, water pipelines, tentages and office cabins. The primary goal is to facilitate and ensure seamless and secure operation of the laboratory, enabling faculty, researchers, and students to achieve their academic and research goals in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

• Support the school faculty, research staff and students in carrying out their research activities including operating, maintaining & training of various lab equipment.
• Upgrade, optimize and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Design and set up undergraduate teaching experiments including preparing materials, performing lab trials, conducting and supervising laboratory lessons.
• Update lab manual and experimental procedure whenever there is a need.

Skills and qualifications:

• Degree in chemical engineering or process or technology with at least 5 years’ experience
• Experience in setting up new lab or equipment is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in handling, operating and maintaining scientific & laboratory equipment such as ICP, Chemisorption and Physisorption Analyzers, Pumps, Chemical Engineering Unit Operation, SEM, TEM, Gas and Liquid Chromatography, etc.
• Conduct training for new users, guide inexperienced users in operation of laboratory equipment  
• Support the manager to perform diagnostic tests and in-house repair process in the event of equipment failure, engage vendor for periodic calibration and preventive maintenance
• Effective record keeping of lab chemicals, consumables, assets and equipment maintenance records
• Laboratory support and management, with experience in writing standard operating procedures and risk assessments
• Manage projects and lab tours

• Perform pre- and post-sales technical support to customers.
• Provide support to the sales staff in technical presentations.
• Evaluate and establish a vision system performance specification.

Requirements:

• Diploma in any Engineering field
• At least 2 years of experience in field servicing and semiconductor industry.
• Able to troubleshoot electronics hardware system, PC hardware, OS and networking.
