Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and manage industrial chemicals safely, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Receive, label, and log all incoming samples for accountability and traceability.
• Prepare samples by drying, crushing, splitting, and pulverizing as per procedural requirements.
• Mix fluxing reagents accurately and load samples into the furnace for fire assay processes.
• Conduct acid digestion by mixing and applying specific reagents.
• Perform fire assay techniques, including the precise handling of reagents and heat management.
• Work effectively in a hot environment and handle tasks requiring physical effort, such as lifting 10kg bars of precious metals.
• Maintain accurate records of all processes and communicate findings effectively through verbal and written reports.

The Automotive Techncian is responsible for the repair and maintenance of critical airport emergency and specialised equipment, ensuring operational readiness for ground support. This includes vehicles such as Water Tender, Foam Tender, Runway Sweeper, Rubber Remover, Friction Tester, and other similar equipment.

• Conduct regular repair and maintenance activities on airport emergency vehicles (e.g. Water Tender, Foam Tender) and specialised equipment (e.g. Runway Sweeper, Rubber Remover, Friction Tester).
• Ensure the operational readiness of ground support equipment to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks to address equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Accountabilities:

• Undertake the assignments on one's own such as commissioning, installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair/overhaul for MTU engines and associated product
• Capable of resolving technical matters and completing services according to the works order for acceptance by the customers.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
• At least 2 – 3 years of experience in the diesel engine/generator industry.
• Experience in troubleshooting, project handling/execution, servicing and commissioning.
