Job Overview

Established for over 40 years, Continental Steel is a premier steel supplier in South East Asia. We are looking to hire an operator with experience in operating and maintenance of steel wire drawing equipment in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operation of steel wire drawing equipment and steel fibre equipment to manufacture Product.
• Optimising the usage of raw material and consumables like wire rod, dies and lubricants to achieve maximum efficiency in production.
• Assist in the preparation of Manufacturing Procedure Specification (MPS) and Quality Control Plan (QCP) for the different Product types.
• Assist in Maintenance Plan for the Facility.
• Assist with testing of Products and identifying changes necessary to achieve Product requirements.
• Assist administration team in preparation of marketing information for the Products – Technical Specifications, Packaging design, etc.
• Assist in maintaining and replenishing raw material and consumables levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for production.
• Optimise production runs/shifts to ensure that operation is running smoothly and efficiently.
• Working closely with the sales team to minimize gaps between delivery requirements and production planning capacity.

Job Requirements:

• Secondary 4, GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ levels or ITE in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics) or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining machinery is a must.
• Experience with operating steel wire drawing equipment will be an advantage.
• Experience with operating butt welding equipment to join wires will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of consumables used in wire drawing operations like dies, pressure dies, calcium/sodium-based lubricants, etc. will be an advantage.

Job Scope:

• Applying aluminium tape to aerospace components
• Remove and clean the component using abrasives and chemicals
• Work with Laser Engineers and Quality Inspectors to process customer’s parts
• Assist in receiving, inspecting and shipping of newly received and finish processed parts
• Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment
• Control and perform preventive maintenance routines
• Manual loading and unloading of critical aerospace component

Requirements:

• Possess a Nitec in Engineering
• Possess minimum 1 year of technician experiences
• No experience are welcome to apply and training will be provided
• Prior experience from automotive / aerospace industry is advantageous
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Able to work morning, noon & night shift

• Mon – Fri (7am - 4:30pm / 4.30pm - 2am / 10pm – 7.30am) (Biweekly Rotation)
• Salary up to 2K + $300 - $400/mth Shift Allowance + OT + AWS + VB

Job Description:

1. Performing F.A inspection and inspection of parts and products with desktop measuring tools / CMM / Smart scope at the incoming / outgoing / in-process gate.
2. To prepare and generate standard inspection report and lead team in performing quality inspection.
3. Monitor on critical customer products, with a corrective and preventive action programs in managing customer complaints / improvement plans.
4. Administer and work on continuous improvement program in achieving good process control.
5. Provide technical guidance to group of inspectors.
6. Manage customer complaints, corrective and preventive action programs.
7. Work closely with customers and inter-department to meet the quality requirements.
8. Experience in calibrating measuring equipments.

Requirements

• Preferred to have NTC / Diploma in related engineering field.
• Required to know-how in using desktop measuring tools, and other equipment such as CMM, Smart Scope, Roundness Tester and Roughness Tester
• Computer competancy.

Authorities and Responsibilities

1. Assembly of higher end products which require self-interpretation and understanding of technical drawing, assembly requirements, which also includes Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
2. Electrical wiring and soldering for installation and assembling of mechanical and sub-assembly level components.
3. Troubleshooting of machinery, servicing and maintenance.
4. Perform testing and commissioning of machines and testers.
5. Providing smooth and continuous running and support on machines and projects.
6. To provide rework or make call for the required rework processes.
7. Providing guidance to the team of operators.

Competence Requirements

• Preferred to have Secondary / NTC / Diploma in engineering field or equivalent.
• Fresh NTC / Diploma holder may be considered, else others with minimum 3 years of related work experience in manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawing.

Job Description:

• Manage and perform preventive maintenance on process plant equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment during breakdown.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe and operational plant equipment.
• Overhaul and service fans, blower, pumps, motor, compressor and other plant equipment.
• Record all maintenance and repair services performed.
• Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned.

• Good interpersonal and communication skill
• Good hands on maintenance skill in mechanical
• Willing to commit overtime and 12hrs shift work if assigned
• Added advantage if have experience in repairing heavy vehicle or big truck
• Company provides transportion pick up at different locations
