Job Summary:

The candidate will be performing lab experiments on variable water chemistries, analyze water quality parameters and run membrane reverse osmosis skids to evaluate membrane performance. The job will also require evaluation and characterization of chemical recipes, and performance validation via a set of lab standard protocols (preliminary on-the-job training will be provided).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Design of experiment:

• Evaluate the efficacy of developed formulations/products for various scales following lab protocols.
• Plan antiscalant experiments using membrane flow-cell (with synthetic and real process water solutions).

2. Performing the experiment:

• Carry out the experiment with good lab practices and housekeeping.
• Troubleshoot experimental failures, identify and propose solutions to overcome the failures.

3. Data Analysis:

• Identify patterns and/or correlations from the experimental data.
• Analyze the data and provide recommendations for improvements.

Skills/Experience/Education Required:

• Technical background, diploma/degree in Chemistry/Chemistry Engineering/Environmental Engineering
• Experience in water chemistry or water testing would be a plus.

Job Specifics:

• Ability to work with high energy in a start-up-based environment and multitask, if required.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey ideas and technical information effectively across an entire range of audiences.
• Curiosity and strong drive to improve status-quo while working in a semi-autonomous environment.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality on-site start-up, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of testing equipment at customer’s sites.
• Perform trouble shooting, preventive maintenance and calibration on testing equipment.
• Carry out continues enhancement program on machines to achieve highest performance and reliability results.
• Conduct training for customer engineers and technicians
• Liaise with production and testing team to ensure that the system complies with customer requirements.
• Ensure proper documentation for system maintenance records.
• Prepare detailed field service reports.

Qualifications

1. Min. NITEC/ Higher NITEC /Diploma in Electrical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering
2. Min. 2 years of relevant working experience in mechanical & electrical troubleshooting, new graduates are welcome to apply
3. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage
4. Can work independently and also a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Good Electrical/Electronic systems servicing skills & able to learn things fast.
6. On-the-Job Training will be provided to job incumbent and those with minimum 1 year of related work experience in the material testing industry will be advantageous
7. Valid Class 3 driving license
8. Overseas Work Travelling Required
9. Overtime Work as necessary to complete the project
