The Project Engineer will coordinate on-site activities, working closely with designers, shipyards, and vendors to drive project success. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

1. JOB SUMMARY

To oversee tasks delegated by the Project team management to ensure the project is progressing on time and on budget. To collaborate with the whole project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work collaboratively with the project manager and team to drive new projects to maturity
• Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying and assigning personnel to project phases and elements
• Assist commerical/BD team with cost estimates.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Process transactions for production related data
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate Mechanical and Electrical services with consultant and sub-contractors on site.
• Oversee all related M&E issues on site.
• Assists Manager in the co-ordination of project management activities.
• Attends external project meetings, meetings with consultants as well as technical and co-ordination meetings, daily project meetings and internal project closure meeting.
• Assists Manager in carrying out all shop drawings and submission with Drafting Department.
• Ensures the adherence to the Safe work procedure (SWP).
• Ensures the timely preparation of project progress and other reports.
• Follows up on all aspects of QA/QC matters; records all defects works and ensure proper documentation.
• Orders materials required for projects.

Job Requirements

• Degree in electrical/mechanical/electronics engineering or relevant qualification.
• At least 1 year(s) of M&E working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Familiar with construction site activities.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Candidate possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronic) or equivalent.

- Minimum one of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in vehicular or related industries.

- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and process simulation tools.

- Proficient in mechanical structural calculation

- Advantage if candidate has experience and familiar with quality management systems
(e.g., ISO 9001, ISO45001).
