The newly setup Office of Data and Analytics (ODA) at the Nanyang Technological University is seeking to fill Senior Executive (Data and Analytics) position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse both external and internal data to facilitate evidence-based decision making at various levels of the University.
• Assist to build databases, help to implement data analytics and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency.
• Works in team which consists of stakeholders across different units.

Requirements

• Has (or expecting) a degree in the Social Sciences or the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), NOT necessarily in the data science or related fields.
• Has empirical and quantitative skills.
• Has good coding skills.
• Has good communication skills.
• Candidates who have visualization skills will have added advantage.

Job Scope:

• Utilize various communication channels including emails, phone calls, and other mediums to effectively address client concerns and resolve issues
• Respond promptly to sales inquiries from customers, collaborating closely with the operational team to facilitate order delivery
• Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand
• Engage in negotiations and finalize deals, while also handling customer feedback
• Take the lead in providing operational support to sales by following up with new customers for required information and documentation
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of order fulfillment and customer service
• Process customer orders, including price quotations, stock checks, issuing Proforma invoices, and confirming shipment schedules
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding product pricing and stock availability
• Coordinate with Logistics and Accounting departments to ensure seamless order shipments
• Prepare necessary documents such as Purchase Orders, Pick Lists, Invoices, and inventory checklists
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
• Stay updated on product information, pricing changes, and distribute sales materials to distributors as needed

Job Scope:

• Responsible for full spectrum of the supply chain including purchasing process (sourcing, quotation enquiry, price negotiation, placement of orders and delivery arrangement), logistics coordination and management and inventory monitoring
• Issue purchase orders (PO) in the Inventory System to suppliers
• Support transactional activities within the Inventory System
• Analyse inventory and implement solutions
• Logistics coordination for timely arrival of components and expediting orders with planning
• Ensure proper documentation and filing as per ISO guidelines
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices and terms of contracts, and monitor supplier performance
• Sourcing suppliers and purchase electrical equipment, spare parts, and other electronic components
• Manage inventory levels
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor
