Award-winning medical device startup (GyroGear.co) has a single opening for a skilled Senior Electronics Engineer at our Singapore office. We are developing intelligent wearable devices to stabilise hand tremors for 200 million people globally.
The candidate must be able to effectively understand and address the needs and problems, and to do so with a small and focused team operating in a driven startup environment. The ultimate objective is to deliver a commercially successful GyroGlove within the coming year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
â—Ź The development and coordination of all electronic, micro-electronic, PCB hardware and software activities for the company, in line with company plans and objectives.
â—Ź Lead the electronics development effort by contributing to the technical deliverables.
â—Ź Lead teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes - determining the most effective means of meeting manufacturing/divisional goals (safety, yield, quality, delivery, productivity) to drive process improvements.
â—ŹManage, develop and handle development and test engineering tasks
â—ŹDesign, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
â—Ź Design testing methods to analyse product capabilities and troubleshoot relevant engineering issues.
â—ŹOversee project logistics and resource allocation.
â—ŹStrives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
â—Ź Work on product-sustaining projects, which involve replacement or redesign for obsolete components, product improvement features, cost reduction, manufacturing support, and field complaints.
â—Ź Help create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
â—Ź Work closely with other engineers and supply chain partners to ensure compliance with requirements.
â—Ź Manage design control documentation and file patents, etc.
â—Ź Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure adherence to required standards (i.e. ISO 13485, 14971, 60601) and to maintain the quality management system.
â—ŹGeneration of project documentation in line with ISO13485 and other medical device regulatory requirements.
â—Ź Work closely with the clinical team to submit ethics/MHRA/FDA applications and coordinate clinical trials according to company timelines.
â—Ź Work closely with the finance team to support grant applications, grant management, fundraising, budget management and other similar activities.
â—ŹCollaborate with other team leaders and departments.
â—ŹForecast operating costs for the electronics department and contribute to yearly budget forecasting and business cost planning.
â—ŹGeneration of weekly electronics project update reports for peer review.
â—ŹImplement and maintain the highest possible levels of personal and team safety, led by example and previous lessons learned.
â—ŹCoaching and supervising colleagues as and when needed.
â—ŹContribute heavily to intellectual property generation.
â—ŹContribute heavily to innovation, next generation development.
â—ŹInternational travel as needs be.
QUALIFICATIONS:
â—ŹAbility to speak and write in English, and function as part of a global team whose language of communication is English.
