Job Description:

• Actively working with cross functional stakeholders to plan and develop new lithography process
• Validate mask designs, reticle tape out and post tape out verifications
• Actively participate in internal and external technical discussions to overcome process related challenges and provide relevant solutions
• Perform process characterization, margin study to determine the process capability of new process platform
• Act as subject matter expert and resource for researchers and industry partners to enable process and/or product realization
• Publish process development outcomes and breakthroughs in research community
• Engage with relevant equipment makers/vendors and responsible for selecting and procuring research equipment
• Work with fab team in establishing SPC for newly developed processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields are welcome to apply
• More than 5 years of relevant working experience in R&D and/or industry environment and broad exposure in handling 6”, 8” and/or 12” substrate covering nano to micron technology nodes, preferably in SiC/GaN/Photonics
• Proficient in Photolithography tools including Immersion/KrF/I-line Scanner/Stepper/Mask Aligner, knowledge in eBeam Lithography tool will be added advantage
• Hands-on experience in metrology including but not limited to CdSEM, Overlay, OCD, DRSEM, Microscope. Capable to create recipe to support various research requirements
• Knowledge in design and simulation (ProLith, OPC,etc), and reticle layouts (OAS,GDS) review and basic tape out process
• Equipped with Photolithography skill set including fundamental lithography theory, Photoresist characteristic and application, new process setup (swing curve, FEM, DoE, Statistic Root Cause Analysis and problem solving methodology, etc), optimization and margin improvement.
• Relevant hardware and application knowledge in Photolithography tools and metrology.

As the Research Engineer (Equipment/Operations), you are directly involved in tool installation activities for semiconductor process tools. You would need to work proactively to coordinate with the contractor on the ground for the execution and take corrective and preventive actions of lessons learned, due diligently to prevent reoccurrence. You are responsible for performing utilities turn-on after installation is completed. You must perform the activities per ASTAR site procedure and safety policies to ensure all tool-install-related activities are completed, meeting safety, quality, schedule and budget requirements. You will also be required to perform other activities such as operations for the different semiconductor modules (Diffusion, Litho, Dry/Wet Etch, Thin Film, Implant, etc).

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with all tool-install base contractors to execute equipment hookup for new tools, to meet the high-quality standards, dynamic schedule, and forecasted budget.
• Coordinate with the Project owner (NGTC/APM) to facilitate utility release as per the planned schedule and update tool release status timely
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with EHS-related regulations, risk assessment, safe work procedures, and permit-to-work system.
• Play an active role in safety, actively participating in safety discussions and safe work practices.
• Establish regular area walks to identify opportunities for improved safety, cleanliness, housekeeping and efficiency
• Establish regular, working interaction with peers as well as vendors in tool installation & facilitation, communicating clearly and respectfully all relevant information.

5. Commissioning (Cx) Engineer – Mechanical, Data Centre MEP

Role: Supports the lead mechanical commissioning engineer by conducting tests and inspections of mechanical systems critical to data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the commissioning and performance testing of mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and CRAC units.

Perform functional tests of HVAC and cooling systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and environmental requirements for continuous operation.

Document mechanical system test results and prepare reports for the Cx Lead Engineer.

Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring systems are optimized for redundancy and cooling performance.

Ensure that all mechanical systems meet the data center’s performance, efficiency, and reliability standards.

Skills Required: Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for data centers, mechanical testing and troubleshooting skills, ability to follow detailed commissioning procedures, and attention to detail in documentation.
