As a member of the System Administration team, you are responsible for applying skills and exercising knowledge to perform specified support functions. As part of the team -You will support critical applications and ensure the stability of services by performing dedicated maintenance activities. You engage in automation activities, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation. Knowledge of production support process including incident/change/problem management, call triaging, and critical issue resolution procedures. 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Infrastructure Operations and Production Support of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker UCP, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
•    Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling and management of containerized applications.
•    Openshift Enterprise implementation and Support
•    ESXi, vSphere systems administration and support including vMotion, HA, DRS, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Service Manager, vCenter Configuration Manager, Site Recovery Manager 
•    Working with tools surrounding the Kubernetes ecosystem such as helm, kubeadm, Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD etc.
•    Working with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, terraform etc.)
•    Scripting and automation skills converting manual and maintenance functions into fully orchestrated automation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Position Summary

Responsible for monitoring the digital asset custody technology stack to ensure the stack is operational 24x7, stable and has sufficient capacity. Provide timely root cause analysis of platform and application incidents, involving the key resources as needed, so we can quickly restore normal operation.

Building out automated solutions for complex operational problems using industry best practice and cloud native technologies. Actively seek out innovative solutions towards operational excellence and coordinate proactively with development, operations, and the wider platform team to improve system availability, security, performance, and maintainability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous, scalable and robust operation of our production environments. 
• Collaborate closely with the development teams in a fast-paced delivery environment to foster SRE mindset as part of software development process. 
• Codify and rollout shared tooling and process/service to enable development teams continuously delivery new features while improving non-functional requirements such as system availability, security, performance, and maintainability. 
• Working with development and DevOps to ensure the appropriate level of component redundancy and infrastructure capacity is in place.
• Proactively analyse events and provide ongoing recommendations to incorporate process improvements to prevent service impacting incidents.
• Manage Level 1 through to Level 3 production support.
  

• 2+ years in SRE or Production Support within experience in the financial industry, or managing business critical systems requiring 99.9% uptime.
• Proven background in hands-on production / application support.
• Expert proficiency in Linux, Shell Scripting, Monitoring and Instrumentation tools.
• Comfortable working with developer tools such as GIT, JIRA and Notion.
• Familiar with Node JS, MariaDB/MySQL and managing automated build/deployment pipelines (e.g. GitLab, Ansible).
• Familiar with Kubernetes clusters
• Strong problem-solving skills and be a confident communicator.
• Ability to work independently and comfortable to tight schedules.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related subjects.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
