Duties & Responsibilities

· Coordinate piping design with other engineering disciplines

· Prepare piping layouts, general specifications and documents according to project standards.

· Analyze and interpret stress/vibration results, offering recommendations for piping system designs.

· Develop piping layouts for critical equipment like compressors and reactors, in 3D CAD if possible

· Review project documentation such as scope of work, schedules, and design basis.

· Assist in planning and organizing piping engineering activities, including manpower requirements and schedules, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.

· Able to do material take-off (MTO) and ensure conformance with company design standards and compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry practices.

· Participate in inter-department coordination on all project-related issues

· Support field engineering during construction and advise on installation and testing.

· Conduct site visits

· Any other relevant tasks as assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications & Other requirements

Position Overview:

As a Process Engineer for our Polyisoprene Rubber Latex manufacturing facility located in Singapore, Jurong Island. Responsibilities will include analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational performance. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in the Singapore petrochemical/refining sector and possess a strong understanding of process engineering principles. Experience in Rubber, Solid, Slurry will have an added advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Data Analysis: Analyze process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

Project Management: Lead or participate in Initiative Projects aimed at upgrading or expanding existing processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and safety, to achieve operational excellence and resolve any process-related issues.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all processes adhere to local and international regulations, standards, and guidelines related to safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and engineering calculations.

Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to operators to enhance their understanding of processes and ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

3-5 years of hands-on experience in process engineering within the petrochemical or refining industry.

Strong knowledge of process simulation tools, such as Aspen plus , excel based calculations

Familiar with safety and environmental regulations in the petrochemical sector.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Project management experience ,SCEM and/or Water Efficiency Manager certified (Preferred)

a. Ensure that good safety and high quality of work are being carried out by the Contractor in compliance with the statutory requirements

b. To provide wherever and whenever necessary standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with the Project specifications, construction drawings, and Building Control Act and Regulations.

c. To assist SRE in the management and control of a team of site staff or Resident Technical Officer(s)

d. To assist SRE in administrative control of the site staff, instill and maintain discipline, punctuality, and keep daily records of staff attendance, and other matters concerning the site staff's administrative matters.

e. To oversee all aspects relating to the construction of the Project, keeping and submitting records.

f. To provide full support and assistance, as and when directed by the SRE or client

g. To check and assess temporary works by the Contractor to ensure that the works are safe and in compliance with all relevant Regulations.

h. To ensure that Contractor’s working procedure complies with the agreed method statement and relevant workplace safety and health regulations and to direct modification to the procedure, if necessary, to comply with the agreed method and safety and health regulations.

i. Any other Adhoc tasks are given by management

- Min 4 years of civil engineering experience

- Min 2 years of experience in Dwall works

- Degree in Civil Engineering

- Accredited as a RE with IES
