Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Lead to oversee and manage the QA activities for our web applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation testing, with strong skills in frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright. The role requires a solid background in Java, API testing, and performance testing, along with experience in leading QA teams and delivering high-quality software products.

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Perform manual testing for areas not covered by automation and ensure test coverage across the application.
• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and cases for web applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and performance meet requirements.
• Implement and manage API testing frameworks, ensuring robust validation of backend services.
• Conduct performance testing and analysis to identify potential bottlenecks.

Technical Expertise:

• Min 5 Years of experience in Automation Testing
• Proficiency in Java for automation scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium for automation testing.
• Strong understanding of API testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
• Experience in testing web applications on multiple browsers and devices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing frameworks.

(a) Responsibilities:

The candidate is responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system. The primary responsibilities would include carrying out the activities in the testing lifecycle including the test

planning, and analyzing business and system requirements.

The candidate will also be responsible for:

• Preparing the test environment, designing, and developing the test cases.

• Preparing the test environment, and executing the test procedures.

• Automating the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages as well as performance tuning.

• Create traceability to requirements, analyze gaps and address them.

• Logging and tracking defects to closure

• Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, and address test gaps to ensure test efficiency.

• Develop design documents and user manuals that would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users including testers and stakeholders.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and

developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based

or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full

system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to

testing and deployment;

• Good written and verbal communication skills;

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;

• Certification in software testing preferred;

• Experience in micropayments Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;

Job Description

• Diagnose and resolve problems that occur in daily production lines/machines to minimise downtime and quality loss costs.
• Liaise with other departments to develop improvement plans to reduce quality loss costs and other cost savings activities.
