n the broadest sense, project managers (PMs) are responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects for an organization while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.

By overseeing complex projects from inception to completion, project managers have the potential to shape an organization’s trajectory, helping to reduce costs, maximize company efficiencies, and increase revenue.

The exact duties of a project manager will depend on their industry, organization, and the types of projects that a PM is tasked with overseeing. But across the board, all project managers share responsibilities across what’s commonly referred to as the “project life cycle,” which consists of five phases (or processes):

• Initiating
• Planning
• Executing
• Monitoring and Controlling
• Closing

• Perform preparation of design specifications
• Incorporate special features which relate to the project at hand into specifications. These include order of work, physical conditions at the site, construction work schedules, method of payment and measurement, construction procedures and special methods, and coordination with contractors and other stakeholders
• Perform technical review on specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, and exactness, and to remove restrictive descriptions so as to ensure competitive bidding
• Prepare project for advertisement by compiling contract specification into Electronic Bid Set (EBS)
• Visit proposed project site to obtain necessary information for use in creating project specification. This include condition and location of project site, location of storage and staging areas, and character and scope of work
• Provide guidance and technical advice to various persons and departments, including engineering personnel, Branch Chief, Section Chief, Engineering and Construction Department, and Architect-Engineer firms where necessary to develop basic specification procedure and policies to cover new types of projects and structures, and to make clearer various phases of the construction work
• Communicate with higher authorities on issues concerning specifications, engineering interpretations and explanations, supply of items, and items of work, and offer recommendations on reviewing specifications.

Responsibility

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

Design and build the DWH database models (star schema).

Manage the semantic model in Oracle Analytics Cloud to provide a unified view of our organization's data.

Manage application roles and access rights for end users including row level security filters, to protect sensitive data.

Work with ETL specialists, IT business Consulting as well as external vendors to ensure data ingestion and integration into the database model

Collaborate with Business Controlling and business counterparts on new reporting requirements.

Ensure data quality, security and compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.

Ensure proper documentation of data infrastructure, data models, workflows as well as security concepts in accordance with internal security policies.

Skills

Looking for a Data Engineer more focused on Database modelling, Currently in Oracle environment and going forward with GCP stack.

Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing

Strong understanding of data modelling techniques and hands on experience building database models (star schema).

Expertise with ETL (extract, transform, load) processes. Familiarity with BI tool integration such as Tableau or Looker

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
