• Posses Polytechnic/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Possess relevant sea-going work experience as Chief Engineer/Marine Engineer with minimum class 2 certification or equivalent with in experience in AHTS, Offshore Supply/Offshore tug vessels. Those with DP vessel experience will be highly advantageous.
• At least 2 years shore based experience
• Possess good organisational and communication skills and hands-on.
• Independent and resourceful. Able to work under pressure to meet deadline.
• Analytical and highly proactive in technical trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Able to conduct effective stand-up training for vessel crews.
• Ability to travel within short notice as required.

The Company is an owner-operator and ship manager of offshore support vessels for the offshore marine oil and gas sector.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible to the Managing Director in controlling the day-to-day operations of the Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) managed by the respective business unit and 3rd Party's OSV. Keeping Vessel Technically ready.
• To ensure the smooth and effective safe operation of the Company’s vessels, ensuring that all safety and regulatory obligations are fully complied with during the course of delivering the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
• To carry out audits and vessel inspections to ensure the office staff and vessels’ crew continuously adhere to safe work practices.
• To support the Marketing Dept in Tender Submission.
• To liaise with customers on the bridging of QHSSE documents to facilitate the satisfactory contract fulfilment to the end clients.
• Overall responsible (custodian) for fleet's plan maintenance system and to ensure it is in place and functioning efficiently following planned schedules.
• Oversee the execution of repairs, significant modifications, and installations to suit the project requirements, including budgeting, cost control, and delivery on
• Monitor vessel and fleet plan maintenance system.
• Approving Senior Engineer Officer recruitment & promotion and conduct duties familiarization to new senior engineering staff
• Undertake technical modification / alteration to vessel to suit chartering requirement or to comply with new legislative or regulatory requirement
• Organise technical team for special survey / intermediate survey/annual survey/
• Making arrangements for inspection and accompanying regulatory authorities as may be required
• Monitor the expiry of LSA, FFA, trading certificates and ensure timely renewal and liaise closely with classification societies and Flag state surveyor on survey requirement. Keeping vessels in class and ensure all annual and special survey are conducted by surveyor timely
• To submit a monthly Technical KPI performance and status report of company fleet and vessel under its management
• To conduct technical inspection if necessary, on board company vessels as per ship inspection schedule and communicating with Chief Engineer and ratings to determine any areas of improvement, concern or otherwise and acting on such areas whenever possible
• Co-ordinating technical superintendents to ensure that the technical standards onboard each vessel and the required support from the share base is maintained

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Chiefengineer ticket holder preferred with more than 5 years sailing experience and 5 years of shore offshore ship management exposure
• Degree in Mechanical engineering or Naval Architecture with new building and ship management experiences
• Strong knowledge for barge / workboat / AHTS / DSV / MPSV vessel operations

Main Responsibilities:

Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate,

assemble, finish or inspect plastic and products.

To strategies, organise, govern, and manage a project within a predetermined timeframe that is committed to customer.

To successfully complete New Product Introduction projects by meeting all the specifications and requirements and advancing them towards mass production, including anticipating and mitigating potential risks that may negatively impact the projects.

To engage and work with customers on product specifications, requirements, costs, schedules, and quality.

To generate and provide quotations for tools and moulded parts, upon receipt of Request for Quotation.

To collaborate internally with tool designer and engineering team on design for manufacturing and proactively manage program documentations, technical and engineering changes.

To update the status of on-going programs to the management.

To establish and nurture a robust and affirmative rapport with our key customers to secure new and additional projects and pursue new customers to strengthen sales pipeline.

Requirements:

At least 3 years relevant experience.

Strong leadership to lead, guide and inspire the project team to produce quality work and stay committed to all deliverables.

Business oriented, meticulous, and cost sensitive.
