Main Responsibilities

• Follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions against such audit findings.
• Arrange external audits by Class/Flag related to ships initial ISM SMC certification for WSM KL/SG vessels.
• Monitor that annual internal audits of the ships are done as scheduled and non-conformances properly addressed.
• Perform occasional shipboard safety audits and training.
• Plan and perform office based annual internal audits.

Management Reviews

• Arrange, provide input to and participate in the WSM SG/KL Annual and ad hoc Management reviews.
• Follow up on the implementation of Review output.

Statistics

• Maintain safety and environmental statistics as required for the monitoring of fulfilment of the Company's KPIs and of Client requirements.

Contingencies

• Be a member of the Company's emergency response team to respond to actual emergencies.

Certification

Your assignment

• Provide consistently high levels of executive management support while maintaining confidentiality and exercising diplomacy.
• Assess and manage competing priorities, initiate timeline for various decision forums and exercising discretion to facilitate optimal use of the managers’ time.
• Manage managers’ meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries.
• Support and back up the Executive Support & Travel Manager in the Ikano Retail Board preparation, pre-meeting coordination of materials for various committees and decision forums.
• Execute the progression of information and duties including overseeing the signing of legal contracts & documents, raising purchase orders, maintaining the Ikano One webpage, filing travel expense claims for the management, co-workers’ profiles maintenance in the travel system and annual travel budgeting process.  
• Lead and/or contribute to ad hoc projects to support the achievement of organisational-level strategic and operational objectives.
• Evaluate, introduce and implement travel and admin solutions/technologies to improve efficiency and deliver envisioned benefits.
• Initiate improvement to optimise and streamline business processes in areas where there is opportunity for increased efficiency and cost-saving.
• Identify, document and update standard operating key procedures and processes.
• Drive vendor selection initiatives for corporate hotels and travel providers.

[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for planning, managing and coordinating research and development (R&D) projects as well as technology innovation and exploitation activities and programmes to enhance NEA’s operational effectiveness and build new capabilities to meet Singapore’s environmental challenges. You will also collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to operationalise and commercialise research outcomes from NEA’s various R&D investments. This role will provide opportunities for you to engage, establish strong linkages and form effective partnerships with the academia, industry, and other government ministries and agencies.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and manage R&D projects and technology innovation projects in partnership with end user departments, institutes of higher learning, research institutions, industry partners and other stakeholders.
• Develop programmes and follow through with projects to support the operationalisation and commercialisation of NEA's R&D outcomes
• Coordinate, develop and review the relevant programmes and initiatives under Singapore’s Research, Innovation & Enterprise (RIE) framework with other government ministries and agencies
• Profile NEA’s R&D outcomes through suitable platforms

[What we are looking for]

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or related discipline with preferably relevant work experience in environmental and technology management related areas, especially in the area of robotics and automation
• Good sense of ownership and responsibility with a strong drive for achieving results
• Ability to plan, organise, and coordinate activities in a group setting
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and consensus-building skills across different disciplines, cultures, and organisational levels

Job Responsibilities

• New product planning:

- Analyse industrial trends, market data and customer insights to derive constructive ideas and information for the purpose of NPD.

- Define product competitive positioning and unique selling proposition (USP).

• New product development (NPD):

- Responsible for entire NPD process; from concept initiation to completion, for both new product and reformulations.
